Not tart like magnesium citrate is. Doesn't dissolve in hot water like magnesium citrate should....
I was looking for magnesium citrate specifically for the tart flavor, so I can add something productive to my electrolyte drinks to cut through the sweetness they all inevitably have. I tried the raspberry lemon flavor of this brand, and it was sickeningly sweet, on top of a tart flavor. I was hoping that because the rasp lemon version had some tartness to it, this unflavored variety would be what I needed. Nope. It has no taste whatsoever, and doesn't even fully dissolve in very hot water, so I'm not even sure it's magnesium citrate, since magnesium citrate is notoriously naturally tart, and should fully disolve in water. That has me wondering...what even is this stuff?

Not comparable to CALM
This is a great magnesium citrate. I’ve got the raspberry lemonade flavor or whatever it is, and it’s totally good. Stronger flavor than Calm, but I just water it down more and drink more water that way. There’s a tiny amount of residual in the bottom, but I just add a splash of water and knock it back, no bad flavor. This isn’t comparable to other popular magnesium citrates like calm (which actually aren’t mag citrate but a combination of vitamins and mag carbonate), but it is a great magnesium citrate citrate for a great price. Less than half per ounce than calm.

Good quality and more concentrated than other brands, raspberry flavor tastes like medicine
This magnesium supplement is more concentrated than the Calm brand, so you'll get more bang for your buck in terms of quantity, especially if you'relike me and need 500mg/magnesium/day. The powder is a similar consistency to Calm, no chalky texture when drinking. The lemon flavor is good but the raspberry flavor tastes very medicinal (hence the four stars instead of five).

Bio availability, excellent. Please consumer
Very happy with the quality of this product. Dissolves easily and quickly in liquid.I had major surgery last year. after anesthesia people always have trouble with constipation, and getting their digestive system back on track. I took a dose of magnesium citrate the morning before surgery, and the last drink I was allowed before surgery before surgery. After surgery, they have a tendency of not releasing patients until after their first BM. My doctor was surprised when she came in and found I had already done so with the witness of the nurse.

Winner!
Calm got greedy and crazy expensive, so I was looking for an alternative. Had to mix it together with a spoon after the bubbling was done, but the product is just as good, if not better than calm. Slept like a baby. The bag is double the volume of calm, and much much less expensive.

Natural flavored magnesium drink mix
I bought this thinking it was straight Magnesium citrate. My mistake. It is actually a drink mix with natural lemon and raspberry flavor and stevia for sweetener, magnesium carbonate and citric acid. The citric acid reacts with the magnesium carbonate and creates magnesium citrate, so they actually tell you to just add some of the water and let it react for a few minutes before you add the rest of the water and drink it. It is a little sweet for my taste so I drink one scoop with a full pint of water or a bit more. I sometimes squeeze a half a fresh lemon or lime in there for extra citrate reactions and more flavor. It is a lot easier to take than what I was doing before with unflavored, and it is really natural, so I drink it more often. If you need magnesium, for your nerves, to stay regular, and help dissolve or prevent all kinds of stones and calcifications and problems with excess calcium in the wrong places, this could work for you.

You get what you pay for. Stick with “Brand A”.
I bought this as a more affordable alternative to “Brand A”. Magnesium has previously worked wonders for my anxiety, difficulty falling asleep, and occasional constipation. I exercise a lot too and I’m certain I had a deficiency based on the huge positive benefit I gained from the supplement.HOWEVER. This stuff is such a fine powder I thought I was going to asphyxiate putting it in a storage container. I’m coughing every time I scoop it and end up with a dust volcano the second it hits water. Once I make it past that point, I have to chug what little has actually dissolved and swallow a terrible paste left at the bottom. Based on the remaining paste, I’m sure I’m only consuming a fraction of the magnesium citrate I was promised.Sure, maybe it’s worth the sacrifice of user experience for the price difference? Wrong. I switched brands in February to this and have had increasingly worse insomnia ever since to the point of restarting prescription anti-anxiety medications, plus a new one for insomnia that had little effect on actually helping me sleep. As my sleep deprived brain scrambled to find a cause or lifestyle change that could be causing the insomnia, I only realized a few days ago I had changed to this brand of magnesium shortly before my insomnia woes started.I bought “Brand A” again yesterday and was out cold 30 minutes after taking it, just like old times. I need more nights of good sleep to know for sure, but this brand appears to be garbage. It is not worth saving a few bucks when a pound of the good stuff lasts 6 months of daily use.
