Worked for my dog when others didn't
I bought a different phosphorus binder which didn't help my dog's values. They stayed where the were which was just outside of the high normal range (6.6). I then went to a different old school vet who set that this product was popular with all "the younger vets" and suggested we try Aluminum Hydroxide instead. I purchased another product here on Amazon called "Rx Vitamins for pets Phos-Bind" and we retested the phosphorus levels after 2 weeks of usage. This reading was back in the normal range (4.9). For what it's worth, I also bought a product by the same company called "Amino B-plex" which seems to give my dog a little more energy and help with the muscle wasting/weight loss that you see in dogs with kidney disease.

Best phosphate binder for CKD kitties
My elderly kitty with CKD needed to go onto a renal diet - and she wouldn't eat it consistently so the vet recommended Phos-Bind be used in her normal (non renal diet). Using Phos-Bind has helped me keep my kitty's phosphorous levels lower and I've been able to (very) slowly start adding in small portions of her renal diet. The amount of binder used is tiny so the container will last a long time, it's tasteless (I tried it) and easily mixes into wet food (for dry food I re-hydrate it and then put the Phos-Bind on it so it sticks and a little "gravy" can be created with a couple squished kibbles).

Worth a try
Our 9yo tabby recently got dx with early stage kidney disease. The cost of the Rx food is ridiculous, especially with many reviews indicating their cats don't like it. My vet approved us trying this and we've been using it since January. We mix it in with her wet food and add a little bit of water to make it kind of soupy so it mixes better and she hasn't (YET) noticed that there's anything added to her food. We aren't do for labs for a couple of months, but she seems to be doing a lot better since introducing this into her diet.

A phos binder my cat will eat
Anubis modeling the phos bind on his nose after breakfast.I've tried the phos binders from the vet office for my cat with stage 1 kidney disease and he refused to eat the food when it was mixed with it. This one in his food we eats no problem. The vet is okay with him using it and now has him on 2 scoops per meal. His kidney levels have been fairly low considering he refuses to eat renal food and honestly my wallet couldn't handle that either. He has been using this product for a year now.So if your cat has kidney disease and the renal food is too expensive and/or your cat thinks it's gross and refuses to eat it. Talk to your vet about this product. Also do an internet search and read the feline kidney disease support groups on reddit. I found lists there that are in PDF format of ALL the foods, renal support to everyday basic foods. It shows their phos count mg per kcals. There is also a good website of the same thing called feline.crf.org that is titled Tanya's comprehensive guide to feline chronic kidney disease. Read up, go down the different rabbit holes they all take you on and discuss it with your vet. I hope that helps on your kitty's journey to navigating kidney disease and staying as health as long as possible. <3

Easy to use
Tiny measuring spoon is included. Good product, my finicky cat cannot taste it when mixed in wet food.

Cat won’t eat, if this is in her food.
I have a cat in stage 3 kidney failure. I could put the tiniest bit in her food and she knows and won’t go near it. However, it’s recommended by my vet, so it must be a great help. Good luck and I hope your cat will eat it.
