This works very well for a m.2 NVME stick.
I've bought two of these. I have one with a 480GB capacity and one 1TB capacity. Both of them work really well. I like the little LED that indicates power and activity, solid on for power, blinking for activity. I did have to add a additional thermal pad to make the thermal contact from the stick to the cover. I guess some sticks may be thinner than others. One of my sticks is Crucial and the other is a Samsung. I added the same extra pad to both. I think I had to add a 0.5mm thick one. It closes just right. With that, the chips run very cool even when copying large amounts of data for a extended period of time. The enclosure dissipates heat really well. This enclosure has a lot of good things about it. I like the LED, the way it closes and opens, the speed and just the ease of putting a stick in it. Also, the little ball that keeps it closed, it works very well. You have to pull on it a bit to open it. I've yet to have mine open without me pulling on it. It closes tight and stays closed despite me putting a little extra thermal pad inside. This also comes with a neat cable. It has a type C on one end for the enclosure and another type C with a attached adapter to type A in case you don't have a type C to connect with on the computer end. Sometimes it is annoying but I have to use the adapter on some older systems with only type A USB connectors. If you want a small but well made m.2 enclosure, this is a good one. I can't think of anything that would improve it. It just works so well.

awesome device
I finally found an M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure that I'm completely in love with. It's the FIDECO M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure that can be had for the crazy price of $14.39 on Amazon.Unlike many M.2 cases at this price, this little pup is FAST. When copying a file from an M.2 to the enclosure with a fast M.2, it generally clocks in at speeds around 600mb/sec (compared to others that can easily be as slow as 32mb/sec). Build-wise, the case is metal, with the door clicking opening up to reveal the inside memory that can simply and easily click in and out, with no tools or fuss. The included short USB-C cable is also high in quality and has a handy, attached USB-A adapter.Long story short ... you'll be hard-pressed to find such a fast, high quality memory case or such a price.

Light, well constructed, works perfectly with Windows and Mac.
I bought two of these - one to use as an external HDD for large files (I have a 2TB SSD in it right now) and one to use for making Raspberry Pi bootable M.2 sticks. It's very nicely constructed and feels sturdy - it's made of aluminum. The hinge is solid. I was a little surprised that the lid doesn't latch down, but it's really not necessary.Only the longest size sticks will screw down - shorter sticks are held up by rubber bumpers. A heatsink pad is also included. Overall it feels very solid and durable. The built-in USB-A and USBC connector at the end of the cable is also welcome. Performance is good and it's plug and play on both Windows and MacOS.

A Solid M.2 NVMe Enclosure
This M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure worked perfectly right out of the box. I had no issues with installation or performance—everything’s been running smoothly since day one. The slim form factor is a nice, and I really appreciate the tool-less design, especially for quick swaps. The only minor gripe I have is that the heat sink material can be a bit of a hassle to work with if you’re frequently changing drives. But overall, it’s solid and reliable, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Nice simple enclosure.
This is a decent enclosure, the heat dispensation concept included here actually does work, the aluminum lid acts as a heat sink. At first I was unsure if the space allowed enough room for the thermal transfer slab and drive to fit snuggly and/ or if there would be some extra empty space. This is not the case, the allotted space is just right, and everything lines up perfectly. The installation was super easy with no surprises or difficulty. I have had no issues with drive recognition or connectivity. The speed of transfer will be determined by the drive itself, the connection standard (USB 3) and the specifics of the hardware the drive is connected to. This enclosure functions as expected with no issues.
