Intercooler for Air compressor
Works great for cooling air before entering the tank preventing water build up.

Necessary for those towing heavy
I installed mine on a Ford F-350. Tying in series with the factory cooler. Then I installed the fan control switch on the line coming from the factory cooler. So if the fluid was still 180* after the factory cooler, the fan would kick on. I weighted in at 34,500lbs, truck and trailer, over several mountains and never saw a transmission temp over 215*. Where previously I would have temps up to 230* and I would be forced to slow way down or pull over. From this point on, I will be doing these on all my tow rigs even if they are new or used. I couldn’t be more pleased with these results.

Works well in my application
I'm using this as a cooler between an air compressor pump head and storage tank. Air leaving the compressor head is *very* hot, when it leaves the intercooler it is basically room temperature (likely a 150 to 200 degree F drop). I have the fan setup to run whenever the pump motor is activated. The fan and intercooler come pre-assembled and I was able to use the brackets directly for mounting the unit. I am pleased with the unit, but I do wish it came (or was available with) a variety of AN-8 mating connectors - the barbed fittings weren't applicable to my use case.

Works very well in my application
I wired an 8 Amp 120AC to 12V DC converter to the pump motor so the fan on the cooler only runs when the compressor is running. This cooler is plumbed between the compressor head outlet and the storage tank inlet and reduced the temperature 113.5 degrees F in its initial run from 0 PSI to 165 PSI. I have an auto-drain moisture trap between the cooler outlet and the tank which removed 2.5 oz. of water! I am VERY pleased with this coolers performance and construction.

Cheap insurance.
My transmission is going on 35 years old. To give it a fighting chance to go another 35 I replaced the anemic stock cooler with this. I have a temp sensor both before and after the cooler to see what sort of cooling it offers. On a cool morning while towing a small trailer up a slight incline, I saw it cools 30 degrees without the fan running. (Fan doesn’t kick on till 185 ish) Cheap insurance and even if the trans give out, this can always go in my next truck.

Works well
As others, I'm using this as a precooler for an air compressor, and it gives about 150 degrees of temperature differential. Fan isn't the quietest, but with an automated on/off switch it isn't noticeable when the compressor is running. It would be better if the Inlet/outlet ports were supported due to the size of the fittings and low strength of the tubing to resist installation torque (yes, backup wrench is required and is warned about in the instructions, but the design could be a bit more rugged).

Works great to cool and remove moisture from compressor air.
Installed in line to condense out water before compressed air goes into tank. Dropped temperature from 280 degrees down to 70.
