I have ordered 100's of products from Amazon over the last 5 plus years and have only written 3 reviews. I am compelled to write a review of this bike carrier. It has totally lived up to all of my expectations. It was easy to put together. I have two EV bikes weighing 65 and 70 pounds respectively and they both fit this carrier perfectly. I purchased a bike carrier from Amazon that was supposed to handle my bikes. It was a piece of junk. I wish I would have come across this bike carrier earlier and saved some money and would have had a great product. I recommend this carrier without reservation.

I have a step through foldable Lectric XP 3.0. e-bike. The ramp that comes with the bike carrier makes it very easy to put the bike on and off the rack. Tie downs and bike support go on and off quickly and easily. Assembly was easy and took no more than 30 minutes. Note that when the center support post is attached to the e-bike it interferes with opening and closing the vehicle rear hatch door. However releasing and dropping down the center post while tipping the bike away from the vehicle does allow full operation of the door. Very sturdy. Overall, I could not have asked for a better designed rack to fit and carry my e-bike.

UPDATE: The CRAVOT support team has been very responsive in trying to find a solution. Unfortunately, their longest bolt that they sent me does not have a lock or other security feature. I tried other threaded hitch pin brands on Amazon and elsewhere with no success. The threads of one I found were not exact, so it did not work. The customer support person forwarded my pictures and request for a longer locking bolt to the development team. For now, on the newer Toyota Tacoma (and probably Tundra receiver housing as well), there is no way to prevent/deter theft with this bike rack.Original review:So far, so good on this product except for one issue. The included threaded locking hitch pin is about 2-inches too short for the newer 2024 Toyota Tacoma. I am able to use the one included, but it will only tighten. This is a security issue as someone with a 24mm wrench can easily steal the bike rack off my vehicle. Thus, I have not been able to use it, since leaving it at public parking areas at trailheads it too risky. I have emailed the company, but still waiting to hear back. It won't take another type since the threads block the use of other long hitch pin offerings. Hopefully they have something that will work, otherwise I may need to return it.The assembly instructions are very good, and the unit is quite sturdy. Can't wait to actually use it!

I have not used the rack yet, however, I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality and construction. Securely old our two Trek ebikes. It is very heavy (about 75-80 lbs), so it's probably something that you will want to leave on your vehicle. I am not planning on doing that so putting it on the vehicle and taking it off for each use will be a bit cumbersome but that does not bear negatively on how well it is made and it's ease of use. If you are planning on leaving the rack on your vehicle for some duration, I think this is a great option.

We couldn't be happier! Our two e-bikes are each 75 lbs. We traveled over 1500 miles one way this winter using a different bike rack. It was so bad (bikes loosened up and parts rattled loose) that we decided we needed a better rack for our trip back home. We ordered this one. Everything stayed secure. Nothing was loose. It was such a huge relief!It takes very little time and effort to load and unload our bikes. We did not add any additional strapping of our own. The bike rack is a bit heavy, but it is sturdy. My 68 year old husband manages without my help.Our bike rack was mounted on the back of our fifth wheel while traveling.We highly recommend this bike rack.

Happy to say that this rack worked great for us on a long road trip from Wyoming to Arizona and back. We must’ve loaded and unloaded our two 80 pound Rav trail ebikes 20 times on this trip. The ramp worked fine and we liked the function of the tiedowns, which were strong and reliable. Rack was very secure on the back of our pick up, and we could still get get into the topper without much trouble. Recommended.

I want to love this thing… but there are some issues. The first being that none of our many wrench sets have the size I need to tighten all the bolts down completely will have to finish later …The second being that the front cradle is too big for a 14 inch tire on one of our e-bikes… could’ve been easily fixed by having a cradle with a bottom in it. I have. Great rack already , but wanted one with a ramp… only to get the thing together and realize my teenagers bike wheel is too small and falls through this one. Not sure if I’ll be able to Jerry rig some type of cradle for his bike tire to rest on or if I’ll just sell this one and buy a different one. Extremely frustrating though since I’m , obviously, not going to take this thing apart to send it back.Also. Book instructions suck. Use the video on the description when buying. A lot easier to follow. The little plastic tabs for the stabilizer bars… do not go in very easy … had to flip the whole rack over to try to get them in.

Quality, fairly easy to assemble other than some plastic inserts which YouTube users warned me about
