Highly recommended for kids 8-12 years or older
The media could not be loaded. I love it more than my kids like it :)Unfortunately my phone camera does not fit so I have to carefully hover over the eye piece to take pictures but viewing experience is good. The subject must be absolutely flat for best viewing experience. So you either put some thing small in the slide that came with it or use things that can be flattened. Eg here I have one picture showing the cell walls of a fresh flower petals. The other one is a video of a dried and flattened part and the pollens look amazing. My 6 years old took some time to learn how to use it but my 8 years old can use it pretty well with few minutes training.
