A wonderful building project for Lord of the Rings fans
This was a fun building project. My set was missing one small piece, but otherwise everything was as expected. The instructions were easy to follow with clear, with detailed pictures and multiple viewing angles when needed.I added a different sign than the one that was included with kit. I designed and 3d printed a sign that says Minas Tirith. The included sign says, City of Gondor, but we all know the real name of this city.I found that the lights look best to me when wound around the lower city wall, but maybe there are better placements? There are no instructions for their placement.I included some pictures that show the different build stages - the instructions and pieces are organized this way which is very helpful. The miniature details are really fun. I had several extra pieces and followed some of the same building patterns to design my own structures and add them to the city.

Great looking finished project & lots of fun details.
Overall a great set. The light string makes it looks amazing when it’s finished! My son really enjoyed putting it together. Pretty good quality on the materials. Instructions were good overall- it didn’t give much direction about where lights should/could go, (you build the castle around the string), but that gives you opportunity to be creative I guess. A little fragile during the building process, but not bad. Lots of fun details & it looks fantastic on his bookcase. It was a good price (it was on sale) and it was delivered quickly.

Awesome model
This is such a cool model. It has so many little details that make it a treat to look at and build. It took a decent amount of time to assemble, which I appreciated, and had a lot of small variations in the build that kept it interesting. If you're a fan of the series, this is a really nice display piece. One thing to note is that the bricks are micro sized, so if you're looking for compatibility with other sets, you should take that into consideration. The size of the pieces can also prove challenging in some tighter spots for larger fingers, but it never proved too much of a problem. Very satisfied.

Not a reliable set - stick with LEGO!
Should have listened to the negative reviews! Instructions not as well thought out as LEGO, some smaller pieces really hard to connect, and size is not compatible with LEGO. Love LOTR, and this set looked great in the photo, but only got to bag #2 before hitting the first snag. One piece in a group of support was 2/3 the size of the others. It looked like it was unmolded too soon, where the bottom was too soft or melty and it pulled away. (See photos - the first shows size difference, the second shows the melted bottom if the damaged piece.) I contacted the manufacturer per instructions on the box but no response yet (as others have mentioned.) That made me worry about problems with pieces missing or damaged in the rest of the bags that other buyers said they found. With LEGO they send a replacement, but if the manufacturer of this set doesn’t bother responding, or doesn’t have replacement pieces, and since I only have a week before my return window closes, I’m returning this and wishing LEGO would make a Minas Tirith set.

A must build for the LOTR fan
We loved this so much we ended up buying another one! It was a really fun build and the end result is a great decoration on your shelf. A solid build at a great price as compared to the big company. This is an excellent gift, but do yourself a favor and get yourself one, too!

this is not lego brand!
I didnt really think it would make a difference when I ordered it that this wasnt lego brand but I was sorely(VERY LITTERALLY) mistaken! the peices are tiny very hard and very hard to attach to each other. I slaved away for an enitire sunday to put this thing together(I normally love building lego but not this time) and got calloused burning fingers(from pokey edges), sore legs(from sitting still for so long), and a aching back for days!! additionally once it was finished a major part of the thing wouldnt attach itself and if i tried it broke! it also comes with cool lights that after i finished building the entire thing realized that the instructions dont tell you how to put them in! the only reason i didnt return this product was it was cute and it contained my tears sweat and blood(once again very literally). i regret that i dont recommend this product

3 out of 5 build
I was super excited for this build (City of Gondor 613035) and it was a decent one. Took about 10 hours and it looks ok. I’m not in love with it like I hoped to be.The instructions are generally ok but a couple spots where you had to figure it out a bit. One of my misgivings is there there are spots where things are barely attached (maybe only one peg) but then you have to build on top of it and there isn’t support behind it. Several times I had to dig a piece that fell off from inside the build. There are spots where only a portion of a wall connects and the rest floats. This caused issues later on in the build. All of the pieces were there though and a couple to spare. Not a fan of stickers. Some of the bricks were pre-printed but some of the most visible ones were stickers. Not a fan of stickers that cross multiple bricks either. A few of the stickers were oversized. This does come with lights but there weren’t instructions on how to include them in the build. If I hadn’t been thinking about it the whole light system would have been stuck inside the build. At the end I just stringed them where I could but it doesn’t look “right” so I won’t really be using them.Again, I’m not really in love with this and it’s going to sit further back on the display shelf so people can’t really inspect it.

Fun build
This was a fun build. Just know that if you want the lights strung throughout, run them as you assemble each level
