swat Review: They don't break up at the first hard swat - I hate flies. I used to be able to swat them by hand (a useful social accomplishment), but about nine months ago we moved house and the flies here are more athletic than the ones where we used to live. And the windows have been open all summer because of the good weather, so we have had daily invasions of the most energetic of the little beasts. Fly spray is all very well, but I'm sure some of the monsters have developed an immunity to it, and in any event it gets to the back of your throat. No good, particularly if you have asthma sufferers in the house as we do. We have tried other swatters, but in all of them the actual swatting part has been fixed to the handle by some sort of clip. The result has always been that any vigorous swipe at a particularly irritating insect causes the immediate disintegration of the swatter. Useless. But things are different now. These swatters are more robust. The swatting part isn't fixed onto the handle by a clip - the whole thing is one mounded piece of plastic. I can now swat as hard as I like and the swatter remains in one piece. I had a field day on the day the swatters arrived, and now we still have six swatters and a fly-free house. I can't recommend them highly enough. You get six for the price, which is excellent value as you can have one in every room so you don't have to go searching for the swatter whenever you spot one of the little harpies buzzing round somewhere. They come in three different pastel shades, though I would still buy these if they were bright orange with pink stripes. If you hate flies even half as much as I do, get these - you won't regret it. Review: Flies and various other bugs had better watch out now! - I like the pastel colours as, being objects of death, the idea that the fly sees a calming coloured swat on its way is somewhat heartwarming. Also I suspect the blighters can see bright red and green ones easily so wise move from manufacturers to go pastel, yay! The swing ability of the swatters is near perfect and they apply a maximum 'death flick' on the moment of impact as I have evidence from killing three flies so far. Weirdly they do not squash the bug fully and cause guts and blood to splash out all over the place so I think the springiness of the swat action does a 'kill stun' and not full bodily destruction. This is good as I am in no mood to repaint my walls or wash down the flesh of death from various insects annihilated by the perfect swatters I have purchased. Having 6 in a pack is great too as I can use two at a time to double swat when a swarm approaches and, as I am fond an 'air swat', (chasing the fly around the room!) I am suspicious that I may snap the shaft of a swatter in my frantic efforts to apply the death swat to an unusually evasive fly. The others can be issued to visiting friends and families and we are planning Summer swat parties where we can put on a BBQ and swat away all incoming bugs as a new form competitive garden sport (beats badminton!). I hope no consumers from the Insect Rights Movement see this review or I suspect I shall be in trouble for heaping unbearable pain on our winged house mates. I am however enjoying the cut and thrust of it all and looking forward to later this summer when the wasps make their way in through the windows as I am on an unholy mission to destroy all stinging bugs who do not produce honey.

Product as expected. Up to the job.
I like the fact that it does not have joints that usually break up after some time of use. I would prefer brighter colours.

Durable, easy to use and was very happy
Call me old fashioned but I prefer these. None of this electric zapping rubbish. Safe and easy to use. No need for batteries etc. 6 per a pack and three different colours. They are strong and durable and have killed many flies. Thank you. I was very happy with my purchase

Cheap and cheerful, get what you pay for
Good swatters but a few have cracked already after a month's use. Still, for price, as expected.

Perfect For The Job
These fly swatters are better than any others I have had in the past. They seem very robust, fairly flexible and easy to use. There are a lot of flies now tip-toeing around the house now that they know there are six of these strategically placed swatters around the place! Highly recommended.

Great little swats
Good value, quick delivery ... flexible and seemingly quite strong swats. Easy to hit flying wasps with them - and I usually find that difficult. Enough in the packet to give one per diner at our outdoor table.

Great fly swats for the price
There were six pretty pastel coloured fly swats in this pack when it arrived - two each of blue, pink, and green - but I gave one of each colour to my sister, with whom I was staying, when they arrived. I was staying there, in the countryside, unable to care for myself between hospital visits following a serious leg injury, and we were inundated with flies during the really hot summer, from the cows in the field outside. What a boon these swats were! I was able to swat (and kill) the pesky things, as well as the invading wasps from a nest just outside the open back door, without having to get up from a recliner chair – where I spent over three months keeping my leg raised during the daytimes. They also came in useful for warding off my newly acquired 2 years old Pug who has selective hearing and wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer, when he tried to jump up on my lap where I'd had a huge amount of skin removed from my thigh for grafting onto the leg wound. I only had to raise the fly swat at him, and he was off. In the past I've always had a hand shaped swat, which was more rigid and had bigger holes in it, but I prefer these swats because they are more flexible, and a better shape. They are described as having a plastic handle, but the whole thing is a single piece of plastic. I just liked the sleek shape of them, and I much prefer them to a can of chemical fly spray that falls on everything, including food, and can cause choking through inhalation.

Resistentes
