Babysun Nursery Domestic Security Cap / small Protection helmet - 8 to about 20 months ( size 44, 52 )

I bought this about 1 hour after my 7 month old daughter had a nasty fall and flopped the back of her head on the floor. I felt sick to the stomach and watched her carefully all night for signs of concussion / head injury. Of course that was the night that she slept longer than she has ever slept before. Sods law. She was fine of course... but I still feel sick thinking about it.Anyway this was delivered a day later. I feel so much more relaxed now. I don't have to be quite so vigilant every time she crawls near a wall or the radiators etc. Or if she's sitting up. Even if I pick her up I don't have to worry about bumping her head on the low beams. She can crawl under our bed and bump her head on the legs. No worries. We still watch her carefully. You don't want her to have a big bang (although this helmet feels like it would protect her), but it takes the stress out of it all. You can just relax a bit. You don't have to be quite so careful and attentive.It wouldn't protect against table corners and sharp objects etc because of the holes in it... I am guessing the foam isn't designed to protect from point impacts anyway. You'd need a hard shell for that. But again, it's just so much easier to protect them now. 80% of the times we had to protect her head and save her form banging it, we don't have to worry about any more. Much less leaping in to save her.

The hat prevents shocks beautifully. The Velcro tears. baby manages to take off the hat many times, which is OK : making her busy for few seconds or perhaps giving a sign to carers that hat needs to be adjusted. The hat couldn't prevent shocks on the forehead, in my case: the front is actually higher then what the picture shows. However, I am not aware of a product that can save your baby from front bumps.Practically useful for 6 months old babies until 14 months maximum, for babies become stronger and more determined to take off hats. Recommended

Bought this as a quick fix to my 7month bb trying to stand and climb over everything from kitchen cupboards to armchairs.Was a little sceptical when I took it out of the box but I have to say it has been and continues to be a bruise/life saver every day.Agree with others on the Velcro not being the best, but he has got so used to wearing it in two weeks that he has stopped worrying about the chin strapNot only functional but much better styling than anything else on the market, we have been really pleased with this item and would recommend it for protective parents and accident prone babies alike!! :)

very pleased with this product. easy to put on and can change the sizeto fit babys head. great if cant afford to kit whole house out with babby proofing. have avoided so hard bumps with this. only criticisms that baby can easily undo strap as its velcro, the length of the velcro strap is a bit short for smaller babies and means the helmet can slip a little so would recomend some inside padding for smaller babies but overall very pleased with it

This is one of the most useless things that my wife made me buy on the last few years. The baby never used it as it is something very annoying to him to have this on his head. Just take care of the environment and you be fine without this stupid helmet.

If you have a energetic child that's always on the move you must buy this piece of Kit it does not look much whenyou first see it, but believe me it has saved my child from nasty knocks to the back and front of her head. It can be adjusted to fit for all toddlers big or small. please go for it you wont regret it

This hat is very good. It serves the purpose well, it's light, the fabric is great - it doesn't make the kid's head sweat. We live in a very hot climate and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use it if it will encourage sweat. But the fabric it's made off is great! One very important thing is - my daughter accepts it on her head. Usually she takes off anything you put on her head - but, surprisingly, not this one!
