A continuous ribbed edge keeps the tray sides from squeezing in. The front handle cutout allows the contents to be seen, and the flat fronts create a safer grip surface. The 20% talc filling gives greater rigidity and more fire resistance than nonfilled trays. The trays are nestable for storage purposes; by rotating 180 degrees, trays are stackable to hold specimens.
