I just replaced my water heater and needed an extension for the ball valve and this did the trick !!!!! It was the perfect length to get it away from the water heater body.Thank You !!!!

Haven't used this yet, but checked threads with a female fitting, all looks good. Smooth finish inside and out. This is cheaper than the orange store, but not by much. Would be 5 stars if price were better.

I made the mistake of using a galvanized nipple in-between a couple of brass fittings when I was in a hurry because "I'd fix it later". Well, it's later, and the water puddle on the floor told me it was time to fix it. When I removed the galvanized nipple, of course it was corroded because of the different metals (and on the hot side of a hot water tank). I know better, but...yeah, I have no good excuse. I picked up this nipple as a replacement. The threads are clean and screwed in smoothly. The finish is good. It's brass instead of galvanized so I expect it to last as long as any of the other parts. It's what I needed in the first place.
