Quality Product and Great Customer Service
I Bought this dashcam along with the hardwire kit for my car. As I began the installation I realized I had ordered the incorrect hardwire kit (micro USB vs. USB-C connector). I immediately emailed the customer service address and explained the problem. I was amazed to receive an answer within 2 hours asking for shipping information for the correct part. Two days later I had the correct part. Now that's GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have installed the dash cam with the hardwire kit and the camera is high resolution and working as promised. I upgraded the 64gb SD card to a 256gb for better storage. I will soon install the rear facing camera and suspect I will be equally happy with it's picture quality and ease of installation. To sum up, the MioFive S1 Ultra is a high quality dash cam that installs easily and performs well in it's function as a dash cam. Add to that, outstanding customer service and you have a great deal.

Great product!
Has great picture, bought it for my boyfriend and he loves it, he hard wired it into his car. It was super easy to install. It’s a bit larger so not as discreet but that did not matter to him. Totally worth it for the money

Good dash camera
EDIT: We now have hard Edit: Had good support when dealing with an issue related to the rear camera. The app can be a little confusing. EDIT: It turns out that Wi-Fi is the primary method for connecting this phone to the app. Bluetooth is just used as part of that process. It does mean that in order to use the app, you still need to be connected to the cameras Wi-Fi I had a second problem with the SD card failing after not even a day of use, but I did contact support and they are sending a new one. So kudos to support for that. The camera itself works well. The pictures are clear and in one minute chunks, so if you do need to download for an incident, you'd probably want to make note of what time it is when it happened. All in all is a good camera system. I've only installed it with the USB power, , so have not had a chance to try it out while hardwired. The images are clear, so no complaint there. It was fairly easy for me to get installed both on the front and rear cameras. They include clear stickers so that the camera can be removed if necessary at a later point without leaving adhesive stuff to the windshield. No problems with them staying on while driving. The camera itself --and support-- get five stars, but I wish they would address the lack of true Bluetooth connection to the app (Android) I would recommend it for the price. Previous post:The camera turned on, but would not connect to the app via Bluetooth

Great Dashcam
.I had purchased another camera and returned it twice after getting a replacement. It kept freezing up during use. and the user manual was very poor. This camera is fantastic and doesn't cost as much as many for sale on Amazon. It has voice commands and the settings menu, the user manual and the website are all easy to understand. I had it installed at Best Buy for $99 and the tech there was impressed with the camera as well. I looked at the reviews of many dash cams for sale at Amazon, and at best the reviews were so so. Give this one a try. You will not be disappointed.

Good Picture. Memory card errors out constantly.
Just installed it. The picture looks good for both front and rear cameras. Plenty of cable to run it how you need. Only issue I'm having is the memory card is constantly giving error on camera start up at random times. When I first turned it on to test the functions and familiarize myself with the menus, it worked fine. Then I powered it off using the button on the camera. When I turned it back on, I got "Mermory card error, please reformat." Uh-oh I thought. I powered it down again. Took the card out, put it back in and turned it on. Everything was fine again. Went to install it in my car. Plugged into my car, started the vehicle -- "Memory card error, please reformat." Sigh. Cycled the camera off and on again, works fine again. It did this a few more times during my tests after installation. Pretty annoying issue if I'm going to have to keep dealing with it whenever I power my car on, I would randomly have the issue or I wouldn't. Does not give me a feeling of confidence that the dashcam system will work flawlessly when I need it most. Not sure if it's the card or the camera that's causing the errors. The card is what came already slotted into the camera so not a compatibility issue. Gonna keep my fingers crossed I guess. If anyone at MioFive has any insights on this problem, that would be helpful.

Good investment just in case .....
Have been using this dash cam for several months. Have been able to look at the videos on my laptop with no issues. Quite responsive to jolts as it recognizes the jolt as a potential accident. Did upgrade to a larger capacity card. Installation of the front camera (was able to tuck the wire into the roof lining) was easier than the back. For the back, bought small stick on clips and mounted them to the inside roof to run the wire from the rear window camera to the front camera. If there is a rear camera with blue tooth connection (cost may be key) the to the front camera, that would be great to avoid running the wires.

Disappointed After Initial Satisfaction – Connection Issues Make It Unusable
At first, I really liked the Miofive Dash Cam. It seemed like a solid product with good video quality and useful features. But over time, it’s been nothing but frustrating. The biggest issue? It simply won’t connect to the phone app anymore. No matter what I try—resetting the dash cam, reinstalling the app, restarting my phone—it just keeps saying "Failed to connect to the dash cam Wi-Fi." This makes it basically useless, because the only way to access or manage footage is through the app. On top of that, the screen has started showing distorted visuals, which makes me seriously question the hardware quality. I invested over $200 into this system, including the hardwire kit and a memory card, and now I feel like I completely wasted that money. Support has been no help, and based on other reviews I've now seen, this seems like a common issue. If you're considering this dash cam, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Out of the box fail
Immediate SD Card issues, which showed as failed upon install and cannot be reformatted despite repeated attempts. Call me old fashioned, but products should work out of the box. On the plus side, install was relatively easy and quality LOOKS like it will be good, but who can tell when the thing fails every time you turn it on. Not sure how Wirecutter can rank this item so high. You can do better.
