Super Fun Toy
My child had the zip string on his wish list forever. The negative reviews had me worried I would be wasting my money. I shouldn't have worried. We went ahead and bought for their birthday and we've all enjoyed playing with it. It's novelty more than an actual toy. I'd say he plays with it for 10 or 15 minutes and then it gets put away for a bit. You could almost consider it like a fidget. The string does sometimes get tangled- especially the super long one but it usually only takes a moment to untangle. And we've found as long as you are using in an open space, it rarely tangles. The string takes a little pressure to get into place, so you might have to help younger users. Overall it's cute, fun, and we're happy we finally bought it.

Big Fun, Short Attention Span
Definitely a fun toy! Our 10-year-old loves it and has even gifted it to a few friends. There’s a big burst of excitement at first—it’s one of those toys that feels very cool right out of the box—but since it really only does one thing, it doesn’t hold his attention quite as long as some others. The glow-in-the-dark feature is a nice touch and makes it extra fun at night. The only downside is that two of the strings broke (apparently our kid plays harder than the toy expected!). Still, it’s a solid gift and a great “wow” toy, even if it doesn’t stay in heavy rotation.

Really fun, but short lived excitement
This was really fun for about a week and then my 8-year-old got bored with it. I'm glad it came with a bunch of strings, but it would be nice if this came with a nice zip bag or something to keep everything in. Lots of small things that kids just spread all over the place.

fun toy be careful not to drop
my son loves these! we bought him his first one at Christmas time and he really enjoyed it. Replaced six months later because as a youngster he tends to drop things and it handled several falls on concrete and tile and is still in working condition but we decided to get a new and improved as a birthday gift so we have definitely bought again

Fun toy that mostly can be used without a lot of help
This toy was one we gave to my older daughter for the holidays. It is a motorized string deployment system that shoots the string out in front of the device with enough force to create the illusion of it holding steady in the air. My daughter has enjoyed playing with it off and on since the holiday using the large string version for games of through circle limbo. Some cautionary notes:- The string moves very fast: I've been mistakenly hit in the face with it before and it can hurt so it's worth teaching your child to be careful early on with its use and not to aim at people.- It can easily tangle if you hit obstructions or fail to get the entire string payload through the system. Sometimes you end up with a lot of knots which can be hard for little fingers to unknot so it has required some help from me to deal with that on occasion.- Initial loading can be difficult but my children have figured it out for the most part after using for long periods and testing how much they needed to pull the string through.- The UV light at certain angles escapes the toy so it's worth added caution to avoid getting that in eyes (not sure on the danger of it but when my daughter held it awkwardly it was shining in my direction) so worth holding correctly to avoid that. The UV effect is really nice and you can disable that aspect once it has lit up the glow in the dark string (having to only re-enable it on occasion), recharge is simple, and it can be fun for people to play around with. I personally enjoyed messing with it lightly guiding the bottom string input away to create wider holes and dragging the device back and forth to create neat effects.I'd suggest it for those with the willingness to guide their children with it but would suggest only older kids for gifting to avoid pitfalls and frustration if their parents are less active with helping them.
