Great helped for different houseplants!
I'm Great with outdoor plants and gardening. Not so great with indoor plants. Been trying to keep some basic plants alive & thriving, but needed help. This device helps take the guess work out of my plants watering and helps keep them happy and healthy! The 3 functions (Water, Ph and light) helps me monitor my indoor plants to find that optimal balance for them. Easy to read display and does NOT need batteries... Works great!

Works as described
Basic but works. Seems a little flimsy but so far it has lasted the season.

Handy and Accurate Soil Testing Tool
Very easy to use, just stick it into the soil and it shows moisture, pH, and light. Great for lawn and garden care, quite accurate and worth the price.

My plants and I are both please!
This product is a must-have for keeping an eye on your plants’ soil moisture, light, and pH levels. The tester is lightweight, easy to use, and even comes with a clear user manual. Since I started using it, I’ve been doing a much better job of not overwatering (and accidentally killing) my plants. Both my plants and I are much happier now— in fact, they asked me to pass along a big “Thank you!”

Moisture reading is great but breaks easily
PH never changed at all, so I know that part didn't work, but the moisture meter is great to use and I believe it is accurate based on what I know about my yard's drainage. That was my main reason for purchase and it was excellent for that. It unfortunately broke after a few weeks when I pushed it in the ground. The prong itself broke away from the unit, exposing wires and it didn't work right afterward.

And absolute waste of my time
I'm very unhappy with this product. They claim that if anything is wrong with the product they will do whatever it takes to have a satisfactory outcome. They claim that in transit it often can set the calibration to not work correctly. This is the case I guess for mine. It was completely useless in that I would stick it in the soil, and it would not move in any direction. The light stayed the same the water stayed the same and the pH levels date the same. When I tried to contact them to tell them, to see if we could have a new one shipped, as they claim themselves, nobody got back to me. After 2 weeks of waiting for a response, I decided to return it through Amazon at ups. The reason why, was because Amazon was asking me how my return went, and the longer the time will go, I could have ran out of time to be able to return it within the window time frame. So I ended up returning it, and getting no solution, and getting no response even. So as far as the customer service, they are not what they claim. As far as the products I don't know if it got destroyed in transit, I just know that it did not work. So all in all, I will go with a different meter. Half of my plants are large potted plants, the other half are smaller. It says for best results to stick the probes six to seven inches into the soil for an accurate reading. For all of my smaller potted plants, this would not be possible as the depth of the pot is not even six to seven inches. If it's that easy for the product to get destroyed just by having it shipped and not work when you get it, then I would be more inclined to buy a meter that will come protected and bubble wrap and ensure that it will come to me in working condition. This one just came in a thin little box with no padded protection. That might be the reason why it gets destroyed in transit, as they claim. Definitely far from happy, I have been waiting for a soil meter for so long, and then I went with this one that had such good reviews only to find out that the reviews were completely incorrect.

Same meter, new brand name: Each one lasted 15 years!
This is identical to two I purchased in the past 20 years under different brand names. (see images) The previous ones lasted several years each and were very accurate for *moisture*. The most recent one (pictured) shows what happens if you force it into hard/dense soil, so loosen your soil if you hit serious resistance. (Nevertheless, it continued to work for the next 10 years.) The final image is the newly failed old meter (showing "dry") and the newly purchased meter (showing an accurate moisture level in a just-watered root bound plant). I should have double-checked the "dry" readings I was getting, as I rarely got completely "dry" before the meter failed. The fingertip test works! Use it to verify "dry" readings. Based on previous performance of apparently identical meters, I bought *two*, at the cheapest price I ever paid. (Note: The original meter was used for pH and light and did well, but knowing how much light a plant gets in a single moment is useless, and you should *not* leave the meter in the dirt - for maximum longevity, wipe the rods clean after every use. There are far more accurate pH test kits available, though most plants aren't that fussy. So get this one to test for *moisture*, as it's the *only* one where reviewers didn't complain about it being inaccurate for that.)
