Beautiful enough to overlook the flaws ;)
The aesthetic design of this rice cooker is absolutely stunningβsimple, classic, and elegant. It fits perfectly on my white display cabinet and blends seamlessly with my modern kitchen decor. Cleaning and maintenance are incredibly easy, which is a big plus for me. The stainless steel cover and auto steam cleaning function make it hassle-free to keep it spotless. However, thereβs one major downside: this model is heavily specialized in cooking sticky rice. While it does an excellent job with glutinous rice, it doesnβt offer other cooking modes like sushi rice, multigrain rice, or porridge, which are standard in other competitor models. And there is no fast cooking option for non pressurized cooking mode such as Jasmine rice.It took me some trial and error to figure out how to cook sushi rice or short-grain rice for fried rice. For those in the same situation, here are some tips:1. Use the Jasmine Rice Mode: If you want to cook short-grain rice for sushi or fried rice, use the Jasmine rice setting. Stick to the same water level as the manual suggests, or reduce it slightly for firmer texture.2. Avoid Leaving Rice Too Long: Donβt leave leftover rice in the cooker for more than half a day. The βkeep warmβ function tends to dry out the rice or cause discoloration, especially with short grains. If you cook much more than what you need then freeze the rice and microwave it before eating.Bon AppΓ©tit!

Even better than my Zojirushi!
I am really impressed by this rice cooker. I am coming from a Zojirushi fuzzy logic rice cooker to this one, because I wanted upgraded capacity and added features such as a dedicated sticky rice and jasmine rice feature. I am also skeptical of the long-term safety of non-stick materials and concerned about their environmental impact. This unit checks all these boxes and produces wonderful, fluffy rice. I have yet to cook anything other than rice, but I'm confident that this rice cooker will work just as well as my instant pot, if not better, in that capacity. My three year old Zojirushi in comparison makes inconsistent rice that is often too wet and not fluffy enough. The Jasmine rice and sticky rice are night and day difference in this cooker. I've made the best fried rice using leftovers from this cooker and each grain comes apart much easier than before. My Zojirushi also had a tendency to scorch the bottom of the burner which contributed to uneven heating if not scrubbed off over time. A good reason to upgrade to induction over other heating methods.I am very happy with this cooker and quite frankly blown away by its quality, features, and overall aesthetic. Well done Cuchen!

Poor Design, Rice is clumpy and yellows fast
The calrose rice comes out sticky rice. The rice is clumped together and very difficult to separate. Jasmine rice comes out great but since our family mainly eats calrose, this is very disappointing. Also. The calrose rice starting turning yellow after less than 12 hoursAlso, the top is very difficult to open. You have to turn it counter clockwise until it pops opens and when it opens, the whole rice cooker jumps backwards. They got rid of a lot of buttons and dials for an aesthetic look but itβs really not practical.

Cuchen makes your life better
As a person who eats rice daily, Cuchen rice cooker is a game changer.Design wise, itβs simple and modern. This rice cooker goes well with any furniture and house interior style. The white color makes any scratch difficult to be seen, so it will always look like new.Function wise, itβs super easy to use. All the buttons are self explanatory. Rice + water + click = done. This rice cooker is never limited to rice: it can be used to steam veggies, make stew, and even bake certain breads.Cleaning wise, the stainless inner pot is light and easy to clean. Since the pot is NOT coated with any chemical, there is no need to worry about consuming toxic substances even after years.Over all, I am loving it and I definitely recommend this rice cooker!

Non toxic inner pot.
Itβs a little pricey but I guess itβs worth it. I like the non toxic inner pot (stainless steel) and the rice came out really really good! The pot also has a self cleaning mode as well, make sure to add water and follow the instruction.

Worth every penny!
I was reluctant to shell out so much for a rice cooker but, when I saw itβs like a cross between a rice cooker and an instant pot, I knew I wanted to make the investment. It looks absolutely gorgeous, it has a self-cleaning mode, the sticky rice it makes is my favorite consistency, and I cannot wait to use this for pasta and veggie dishes.

Not 6 cups uncooked rice
I purchased this rice cooker in November 2024. At the time of purchase and the return (November 2024) the product description says the capacity is β6 cup (uncooked)β. Well that is wrong.I have been looking for a long time for a rice cooker with a bigger capacity, to hold at least 6 cups of uncooked rice with a stainless steel inner pot. I already have a rice cooker with a non stick lining and the lining has worn away which means Iβve been eating it. Yuck! From the product description I thought this Cuchen rice cooker was the one; it holds 6 cups of uncooked rice and the inner pot is stainless steel. Yay!On receiving the rice cooker the stainless steel pot looked too small to cook 6 cups of uncooked rice. I compared the stainless steel pot to my 3 quart saucepan where it comfortably cooks 3 cups of uncooked rice on the cooker (the pot I use is the small one that came with my old rice cooker). My saucepan and the Cuchen stainless steel pot are very similar in size.So I emailed the manufacturer who emailed me back saying the rice cooker holds 1 to 4 cups of uncooked rice.I really wanted this to be the one. Unfortunately itβs not. So now Iβm back to hunting for a larger capacity rice cooker with a stainless steel inner pot.On the plus side it is a nice looking rice cooker. It looks like an egg! Haha.
