Mine came working in the Locking/locking: press -> "open"; press other keys -> "close" mode. Press A to close the circuit and B to open the circuit. I needed the Momentary/Jog mode. No instructions came with the item and any help online, Youtube or forums to help with programing it were for other versions of the receiver. With my version, one needs to press the learning button for 10 seconds to clear the program not 8 seconds nor press 8 times. Also my version came with a three prong mode bridge which did not include a jumper, so I made my own jumper out of wire (see photo), I then proceeded to program again and I now have a working momentary remote switch. I connected the center and the prong labeled M. I have not tested the unit for any distance greater than 30 meters as of yet. But did so with multiple obstacles such as walls, refrigerator and a stack of wood.

Excellent unobstruced range. I've tested it out to 1km in open space as that's all I require. However it's marketed as 2ch so unless ON and OFF are counted as seperate chanels then it's only one channel. Button A for ON and Button B for OFF. Be aware there is a slide on the side marked N & F i thought maybe near and far switch (to save batteries perhaps) but it is an On and Off switch for the transmitter, N for On and F for Off
