excellent 1080p monitor with built in speaker and adjustable stand
This is an excellent monitor. 1080p display clarity on this 24" monitor just stands out of all other competing monitors i have researched so far.before buying this monitor i had spent some time reviewing different monitors from Acer,HP as well as from Dell. somehow i did not liked any of them as display looked either very bleak or washed out. S2415H comes with built in speakers which are pretty decent for basic home video/movie watching experience.Thin bezels in this monitor actually enhances viewing experience and adds premium look. monitor stand does allow to adjust angle but there is no support to adjust height, just consider this factor if adjusting height is very important for you.there are no built-in USB port in this monitor, for me this was not a requirement since i am using Logitech 520 which is an amazing unified wireless keyboard/mouse product.this monitor is very light weight and installation and setup took hardy 15mins. Dell has done a very good job calibrating this monitor in factory itself, it saved a lot of my time.i could have have saved 40-50$ by buying a cheaper 1080p monitor from buying another Dell monitor (2415HM) but after looking at this monitor at a local store i decided additional 50$ for this monitor was worth. Dell does has Ultra sharp U series but its and additional 100$+ which i was not comfortable spending.Amazon as usual stand out of line when it comes to offer best price as well super fast delivery.

Just Right....For Me.
I don't usually write product reviews, but after doing such extensive research for my new monitors and reading hundreds of reviews myself, I realized that it's important. Everyone's needs are different and I've given these monitors 5 stars because they fit "my" needs in every way. After working on a laptop for years and having 2 monitors at work, I realized I needed more "real estate" at home since I work from home a lot. I found that I constantly switch between multiple screens to listen to music, play games, and do everyday online tasks.....all while remote accessing my computer at work. This was too inefficient. Soooo....I initially bought 2 of these monitors, understanding the multiple issues that were communicated in the reviews, but I attributed some of them to "operator" error. After a week of using with the original stands on my desk, I realized I needed a 3rd. So, I now have 3 monitors. To gain more space on my desk, I invested in a very affordable:- VIVO Triple LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty Fully Adjustable fits 3 /Three Screens up to 24" (STAND-V003),- Dell USB 3.0 Triple Display UltraHD Universal Dock (D3100), and- Cable Matters Gold Plated DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter, Black). After setting everything up and working with it for a while, I have the following feedback from my use and from reading previous reviews of the monitors. I've also included a picture of my current setup.1) The edge to edge setup is beautiful, especially with the very thin bezel, and the VIVO mount is perfect. One reviewer noted that you do lose some depth on your desk, which is true. But, I gained space underneath the monitors which is more important to me and is what caused me headaches before.2) Also noted in previous reviews is the tendency for a monitor to sporadically cut on and off again. This happens to me as well, but after switching cables around a few times, I realized that it only happens on the monitor connected via the DisplayPort. So, it is not the monitor itself. I still have to figure this issue out and determine if there is a fix, perhaps with the Dell dock.3) The price of the monitors is good. The picture quality is great. I don't find the menus cumbersome at all. The speakers are mediocre, but I plan on using external speakers that I have already, anyway.Overall, this has been my best purchase of the year. I run it all from my laptop, which I keep closed on my desk and tucked out of the way. If I ever need that screen, I can open it up and quickly reconfigure my settings to have 4 screens. But, that's not likely. Hope this review helps.

Best monitor for working that I've ever owned.
I purchased one of these a few months ago and loved it so much I bought another one. I have a two monitor workstation and I had what I thought was a really nice Samsung monitor and an LG that didn't work well. I replaced the LG with this model and it was so superior to both existing monitors that it immediately became the primary. After a couple of months I just couldn't stand how poor the second monitor looked in comparison, so I ordered another of these. The image is as crisp as any I've ever seen, and the the colors right out of the box were nearly perfect. I'm picky so I did the Windows 10 monitor fine tuning and it make a very very small change (reducing the red by about 2%).It's also the first monitor I've used that I didn't need to adjust the brightness to its maximum. The default was just fine. The fact that the bezel (the area around the screen) is so small means that even with such a large monitor, it hides less of what's behind it (the rest of my office) and is easier to see over. The flat stand it sits on takes up little room on the desk but provides a good firm hold. The monitor doesn't shake when I type. They tell me that hardcore action gamers will find the refresh rate a bit slow. I don't care about that at all. I write code and documents, watch some video, and can't see any issues.Overall I'm extremely happy with the product.

Stillborn; It's Tough To Write A Eulogy For Technology
Straight out of the box, Dead on Arrival, it drew not one breath nor had a single heartbeat. Dell's monitors are seemingly designed to satisfy most for the duration of its warranty, but durability, longevity and reliability are not part of its design. If quality control is the issue, then there is no control over the quality.Overall, Dell is a good company that makes well designed computers, but making something on the cusp of disposability, is an image unbecoming of an electronics manufacturer.Because quality (control) may be a problem, I would refrain from purchasing another Dell monitor; exemplary design and workmanship are not superficial qualities.
