Works as described. Very reliable for the price. I use it to automate my lights.

TL/DR: Home Assistant Matter compatible, low price, DOES monitor current/power. Only limitation is that it is "only" rated for 10 Amps, not 15.I am expanding the entities incorporated into my blooming Smart Home, and as a typical Home Assistant user and electronics/ networking/ computer enthusiast, I'm always looking for a bargain. There are lots of smart plugs available on Amazon, and many of them don't have good specs listed in the description. I took a chance on these Eightree plugs based on the Matter advertisement. I am pleased to find them easy to add to my Home Assistant server, and put together a quick automation to keep my closets ventilated using some small fans. Each fan runs for an hour, three times daily, staggered so that only one is running at a time.The only issue I have had - and let's be clear, I only got these today, so not a lot of experience with them - is that when adding them to HA, the naming option went away after the first two. TBH, I think I did something, clicking back before it was ready, and causing it to default to the 'Smart Plug' name it was programmed with.So anyway, these are the cheapest Matter smart plugs I've seen, and since they DO monitor power, I'll order more of them! Highly recommend!

I bought this set to use when we travel. I configured them in August and all four were easy to add to our Apple Home. Thank you Matter. I put them back in the box and pulled them out today 6 months later. Only one of the four connected to Home. The other three had to be reset and added to Home again from scratch. It wasn't a hard process and I wonder if they would have needed to be reset if they were used more often? Still it does not inspire confidence in their reliability. I have Meross plugs that don't have this problem.Update: Just returned from the 3 day trip and all of them lost their configuration again before we returned. This time it only took 2 days. Changing from 3 stars to 1 star. There is no point to buying these as they are not reliable even for a few days.

This was my first experience with a "Matter" plug- and it was great. It was easy to figure out how to pair with my Hubitat hub, and also to pair directly with my Apple Home Kit bridge (a Home Pod) and I can now control the lights I plugged into these with both my Google Home devices and my Siri devices.

I bought this plug dimmer to dim some LED under counter lights I had purchased. I preferred everything about the unit except it would not dim the model of lights I wanted dimmed! I did eventually come up with a work around to make it work, so I deducted only 1 star for this issue.The size and shape of this unit worked better for me than any others I found. Many units protrude out both sides, making them unsuitable for 4-gang outlets or outlets adjacent to a light switch. Because this unit only sticks out to one side, it did not interfere with the light switch right next to it. Other dimmers are round and do not block other outlets to the side, but unlike this one do block the outlet above or below it. (Note that I did have to flip my outlet the other side up so this unit protruded out the side away from my light switch.)Many dimmers struggle with LED bulbs, and this one is no exception. When I connected it to some makes of LED bulbs, it worked fine. But unfortunately, it did not work with the LED under counter lights that I had purchased it for. However, I discovered that it would work fine if I had an incandescent bulb connected in addition to my LED counter light. I also determined empirically that the no dimming & flickering issue could be resolved with another resistive load as low as 5 watts. That meant I could make it work fine by purchasing a 5w incandescent bulb that was connected (and hidden) along with my LED bulbs. But since I am a DIY guy, I instead connected a high powered 3K resistor, which totally solved the issue for me.One other think I liked about this dimmer is that it remembers its last used dim setting after it is turned Off. This is untrue of another plug dimmer I tried. In fact, this one remembers its state even after a power failure.

I was very skeptical about buying these. I usually spend a lot more for my HomeKit setup…I won’t mention the brands but they are a major company. When these arrived I was truly ready for issues with connectivity and had it all planned out in my head to send them back and most likely have to spend lots of money on the “others”. These are simply amazing!!!! They connected with my HomeKit system in less than a minute and works flawlessly with Siri!!!! Without a doubt, I recommend this product!!! 🙌👏👏👏🙌

Follow the directions when connecting these to the Alexa app! You don't need another app to use them. I have only had them a short time but they have not had any disconnection issues. Definitely easy to setup and worth the money! The only issue you may have is that Alexa needs to scan a arcade that is on the plug on the opposite side of the plug's power button. So, if it is in a hard to reach place, it may be tough to connect it for the first time.

I ordered the 4 pack and one plug would not connect. I contacted the manufacture and they immediately shipped me a replacement for the unit that was not connecting to HomeKit. The new unit connected and all 4 units are working with HomeKit. I would purchase again. Great communication and customer service from eightree.
