Shows nicely in pictures and describes in detail the history of the Glock handgun, the safeties of the Glock and how to test their function, how to clean and disassemble the entire gun (not just field stripping, though that is included), customization options, etc. ---the works. The last chapter is a narrative accompanied by pictures of 'The Ultimate Glock Torture Test' where a Glock 23 is put through more brutality than I could have ever conceived in efforts to render the gun altogether incapable of ever firing again, and it vindicates the reliability of the Glock brand in that in the end it fires a tighter group than new out of the case. This last chapter alone is almost worth the price of the book to the Glock faithful. Highly recommend if you want to know all the ins and outs of your Glock, hope this helps. Review: Best Civilian text I've seen! - I do a lot of smithing and would have loved to take the Glock Armor class. BUT it is not available anywhere close to me to 'civilians' it is always an LEO only class...which is BS, I was a cop in the USAF, authorized to teach the CC permit course in IL and an NRA instructor/RSO since '94. Anyways I pretty much self-taught myself how to break down these to the most minute components, service, optimize and reassemble with the help of THIS book. I also was able to find the factory Glock Armorers class text/manual online which basically mirrors this book. This book has other useful information and I use both sources frequently. It is a durable spiral bound printing and well worth the investment. If you don't want to have the expense of travel/lodging to a place that will 'allow' a civilian into the class THIS is the book to have. Do not waste your time/money on any other text!

The Complete Glock Reference Guide 3rd Ed/4th Rev
I am thrilled with this this guide. It has GREAT photos (larger than actual size and no background clutter,) as well as, easy to follow text. I especially enjoyed the first chapter regarding Glock's history, design, manufacturing, models, and other interesting information. It is packed full of detail and [not to overdo it] good, clear photos showing "how to." Not only does it give information about the stock Glock parts, it also details other factory and aftermarket parts. There is an entire chapter devoted to "Interchangeability" of Glock parts between models. As of this date, it does NOT include Gen 4 guns. I am pleased with this purchase and will be better able to care for my three Glock models.

this was a nice addition to/for my resources
Well....there is a lot of info packed into this book. Overall....this was a nice addition to/for my resources. There isn't a lot of info that is available for trouble shooting problems for a Glock...but then again...there isn't a lot of parts that can go wrong in a Glock. The information about Glock's is fairly well presented though there did seem to be some jumping around about the history of the Glock. Cannot speak for those with 4th generation Glock's...I do not have any 4G Glocks and there is many many 3rd Generation Glock's out there. There are variances in the 3rd Generation Glock's and this book doesn't really touch strongly about particular differences in 3G Glock's...but overall....I would buy this book again. Ah the torture test...though fascinating....how many people would ever do this to a Glock? But the point is...Kimber/Colt/Springfield/S&W auto pistol owners....you need to stop Glock bashing...Glock's are tough and ultra reliable...I doubt that there is a single Kimber owner that would ever put their pistol through the kind of testing recorded in this book...it wouldn't hold up. And there isn't a single one of us that would run 1,000 rounds of ammo through their Glock or any auto pistol for that matter without stopping...but there again...this shows how reliable Glock's really are. Well worth the money for the info inside. And think...education isn't cheap...price of this book is reasonable for sure.

Great reference and an enjoyable read
This is a great book filled with a lot of enjoyable technical information and photos that makes the book an enjoyable read. I purchased it for the complete teardown and buildup instructions and was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the information the book contains. It does not have the latest Glock pistols, the 42 (.380) or the long slide .45 (Model 41) but it covers the rest nicely. I enjoyed learning about the safe action trigger which I had read about in other places but the appropriate photos in the book allowed me to fully understand. If you own Glock pistols this book and Glock: The Rise of America's Gun are the two books I would recommend.

The Complete Glock Reference Guide-3, 4th Revision
*****For a novice learning about pistols and how to clean and care for all -especially the Glock 23- this was a very detailed and surprisingly interesting reference guide. I am now very confident in taking down a Glock pistol in a safe manner and the cleaning is so much easier after following this guide. Cudooos for the writer and illustrator. A must read for a novice or beginner shootist and it wouldn't hurt the experienced gunner to purchase this reference guide to help them teach the next generation in a concise but user friendly manner. Lots of info in one place
This book may have a few items that are common info category, but there is enough key info that makes this a very good book to own for the Glock fan. highly recommend - I appreciate the accurate photos and there are many really great points about the gun that I found eye opening. Also just telling us what things really mean vs. wondering why some part has a dot stamped on it, or a number 3 for example is cool to know - excellent value overall,
