I am a bodybuilder . And currently in contest prep. So I can only have my protein either mixed in my cream of rice or just with water in my ninja creami. And let me just tell you.. they NEVER miss with flavors. I’ve tried 3 of them from this brand and they’re all amazing. Red velvet is one of my favorites and I love the little inclusions. I feel like red velvet can be hit or miss sometimes but I really love the flavor and when I put it into my cream of rice it makes it taste like a red velvet brownie!

Tastes great. I wish these came in pre made drinks but overall, you can’t beat the taste with any other protein out there. Ready for more flavors to add to my collection. Definitely recommend.

But the macros + fiber make up for it and it mixes great. The only "weird" thing about the powder, is that it's lumpy. See the pic where I just leveled a scoop. I always use a blender so this doesn't bother me, but it's worth noting. I don't knock it in terms of quality for that. 27.5G or protein for 130kcal is actually really good. You'd have to go to the fairlife premade shakes for something close, and that's 150kcal for 30G. This powder tastes great in water, milk, hemp milk, and I've even tested with sparkling water by accident. (don't recommend that one, but not for the powder lol) My only critique is that for me, the red-velvet "flavor" is hands-down the white sour-cream based frosting. That just doesn't come out strong on this one. This is a high quality product, I would gladly buy this again.

At 25g Protein per Scoop, it's a great source of protein. For 2lbs., it is a very good value for all the benefits. It dissolves well and evenly.

I haven’t even tasted it yet but instant buyers remorse kicked in. Even if it’s the best tasting thing ever looking at the jar is going to honestly make me consider other options. Presentation is everything

This is tasty protein powder. It smells good and tastes just like red velvet. It is super flavorful and very sweet. It has red flakes that turn the drink red and chunks of something chocolate in it. This is a fun drink but it is very very sweet. Good for a rotation but too much for an every day thing. It mixes pretty well, but does take a minute. It has a pretty smooth texture with the occasional bumps.

Got the red velvet flavor. The taste is reall good but the amount I got was only half of what is shown. Why put it in such a big container? So for that it gets 3 stars.

Personally, I am extremely picky about my protein drinks. I can honestly say that atm I only really LIKE one protein drink, and I even don't care for that one on certain days. That being said, I didn't hate this. I could see myself drinking it if necessary. I only slightly got the cake batter taste. My husband, however, drinks more variety drinks than I do, and the following is his take on this drink: If you mix it with 8 oz milk, it tastes absolutely rich and indulgent- like drinking cake batter. Personally it sits heavily in the stomach. Great tasting, real chocolate shavings and a pleasant after taste. I do have to say that the flavor grows "old" after several back to back shakes and the novelty of the red velvet wears off. Best served cold, it really doesn't do itself any justice when warm. If you mix it with 8oz water, there is a huge step down in the richness- there is less fat, less calories, and the drink is smoother overall- while retaining somewhat of a 70% max flavor profile and tasting more like something you would pull out of a refrigerator at a store for a pre-made shake. It also leaves an unpleasant tongue feel and after taste when compared to milk. Definitely recommend mixing with milk for maximum flavor. The mix dissolves very easily in both milk and water. The texture is better with a milk mix than with a water mix. At the stated 25 g protein for the mix alone, there is more than ample protein for any need. And with the current price point of about $57 for 2 lb, it is on par with competitors, making the value pretty decent, especially given the better than average flavor and ease of mixing. To address the settling- there is bound to be some settling that compacts the product... but in this case, I suspect that the package could really be a bit smaller, since the compacted product is half the size of the jug... it is unlikely to compact quite that much.
