TimexExpedition Rugged Metal Watch

The Timex expedition is my favorite watch. In fact this purchase was my second copy of this watch as my old one finally gave up the ghost after 13 years of rough usage. As a senior, I really like the big clear hands and dial that are easy to read at a glance. I also find that the day/date displays on many watches are too small and not clearly legible whereas the Expedition is easily readable to my eye. Finally, I love, love, love the Indiglo feature which allows me to take a peak in middle of the night while camping/hiking to check the time easily. You can't find a better watch for price point.

This is the "Rugged" model? It barely survived the unboxing. A pin popped out for the buckle. I put it back in, but why is this listed in the men's watch section? It was a challenge to get it fastened using the second to last hole in the band. There are seven more holes in the band to fasten it. I could fit this on my grandson's wrist with the available holes. I know that we're trying to be conscious of the environment but another 1/4 inch longer of leather on the band wouldn't do any harm. Otherwise, this seems like a nice watch. It's easy to read and had some weight to it, so it feels solid. Just disappointed with the fit.

This watch is something else. This is my first Timex and I'm impressed with its backlight indiglo technology...

This Timex broke after 32 days of use, two days beyond the return policy for “Famous Watch Brands” located in Houston Tx. Timex is questioning if Famous Brands is/was an authorized warranty dealer. I assumed if I was buying from a non-warranty dealer on Amazon it would be clearly stated. Timex also said this style Timex watch must be send somewhere out of USA for repair - could take as long as 2 - 3 months, then there would also be a “handling fee”. Almost like Timex is discouraging repairs? The problem with this watch? Out of sync, see photo

reliable and accurate

Nice looking watch that meets my needs well. Been wearing it everyday especially when just knocking around
