Excellent choice for anyone looking to elevate their gaming experience.
In terms of features, the 9-in-1 design is impressive - it includes HDMI 2.0 for 4K gaming at 60Hz, gigabit Ethernet for fast data transmission, three USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, a USB-C port with Power Delivery (PD) support, and even a 40Gbps adapter for compatibility with different devices. The dual cooling fans were also a game-changer - they did an excellent job of keeping my Steam Deck cool during long gaming sessions. I noticed a significant reduction in heat-related issues, which allowed me to play without any lag or system crashes.

Multiple platform docking station
This is a "docking station" that works on multiple platforms as long as they have a USB-C output. It is not designed as a unique fit locking into ports on a specific device but replies on the device sitting on the bottom of the frame an being connected by a cable. The docking station has many different ports on the back for connecting to monitors, networks, USB ports and high power chargers. It has two fans for additional cooling but to be honest I have never had an issue with a steam deck overheating, they may be needed more on the other platforms.

Fans are a bit too much
The YCE Dual Cooling Fans 11-in-1 Steam Deck Docking Station is a great handheld for the Steam Deck and other handheld PC’s and feels pretty fully featured, with a couple of unnecessary ones like the fans.Having the HDMI port alongside the display port is good if you have modern displays that can handle both but if you’re looking for multiple HDMI ports or the like, it can obviously be a bit annoying. The dock build quality is good and having just over a handful of usb ports is honestly really handy but the fans can make arguably the worst audible side of the handhelds pcs a bit too loud and I’m not sure it’ll make that much of a difference in terms of temperatures unless you’re really pushing the TDP to the higher levels

Good upgrade for handheld gaming.
This docking station turns your Steam Deck, ROG ALLY, or Lenovo Legion Go into a powerful desktop gaming station. It offers a variety of features to enhance experience. You can connect to external monitors with HDMI 2.0 for smooth 4K@60Hz visuals. The built-in fans help dissipate heat and prevent overheating during gaming sessions. This station supports up to 100W PD 3.0 charging to keep your device powered (exact wattage may vary by device). Gigabit Ethernet provides a stable and lag-free wired network connection for online gaming. It includes2 x USB 3.0 for fast data transfer (up to 5Gbps)3 x USB 2.0 for connecting peripherals like gamepads, mouse, and keyboard and1 x USB-C port. It works with Steam Deck, ROG ALLY, Lenovo Legion Go, Switch, laptops, iPads, Android phones, and other USB-C devices. In my view this 9-in-1 dock is a great option for gamers who want to turn their handheld console into a desktop powerhouse.

YCE Steam Deck Dock: A Powerful and Versatile Docking Solution, That’s Not Just For Steam Deck’s!
The media could not be loaded. In A Nutshell: The YCE Dual Cooling Fans Docking Station provides a feature-rich solution for connecting your Steam Deck* to a larger display, keyboard and peripherals, with excellent cooling, extensive ports, and wide compatibility.*A Quick Note: Mentions of Steam Deck in this review are made with reference to what has become a generic term for hand-held gaming consoles of the same style, such as ASUS ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, etc. which are compatible with this dock.Full Steam Ahead- Expansive Connectivity: Superb variety of ports, including HDMI 2.0 (supporting 4K@60Hz on external monitors), Gigabit Ethernet for a stable wired internet connection, 3 USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfer, 3 USB 2.0 ports for connecting peripherals, a USB-C PD 3.0 port for up to 100W fast charging (depending on your device), a VGA port for legacy displays, and a DP1.2 port for additional display options.- Effective Cooling: The integrated dual cooling fans really help dissipate the heat generated by the console during intense gaming sessions, potentially improving performance and preventing overheating issues.- Fast Charging: With support for up to 100W PD charging, the dock can keep your Steam Deck powered while you play, ensuring uninterrupted gaming sessions (although the actual charging speed may vary depending on your device).- Wired Network Advantage: The Gigabit Ethernet port allows you to connect your Steam Deck to a wired network, providing a more stable and reliable internet connection compared to Wi-Fi, especially beneficial for online multiplayer games.- Broad Compatibility: The YCE dock isn't limited to just the Steam Deck. It boasts wide compatibility with other handheld gaming devices like the ROG Ally, Legion Go, and Switch, as well as laptops, iPads, Android phones, and other devices with a USB-C port. This makes it a versatile investment for gamers who own multiple devices.- Stable and Secure: The dock features a silicone anti-slip base that helps keep your Steam Deck secure and prevents accidental slips or wobbles during gameplay.Running Out Of Puff- No Upscaling: While the dock allows you to connect your Steam Deck to a high-resolution display, it doesn't upscale the video output. This means visuals might appear pixelated on such displays. If you absolutely must have pristine visuals on a high-resolution monitor, you might need to consider docking stations with upscaling capabilities.- Plastic Fan Housing: While I appreciate that there is a trade off against its overall weight, I would have preferred to see a metal housing for the fans in the same style of the body.- Cooling Fan Noise: While the cooling fans are not loud, they are audible, but easily drowned out by TV sound or headphones.Testing NotesI've thoroughly tested the dock's functionality by connecting various peripherals. This includes a keyboard, mouse, USB hub, webcam, and a wireless headset dongle. All devices functioned without a hiccup when connected simultaneously. Additionally, I can confirm the Gigabit Ethernet port delivers the advertised high-speed wired internet connection. The VerdictThe YCE Dual Cooling Fans Docking Station is a powerful and feature-rich solution for gamers seeking to expand the capabilities of their Steam Deck/ROG Ally or other compatible devices. The extensive connectivity options, effective cooling system, fast charging support, wired internet capabilities, and wide compatibility make it a really compelling choice. While the lack of upscaling might be an issue for some users with high-resolution displays, the functionality of this dock is extremely appealing. So, if you're looking to elevate your Steam Deck experience by connecting it to a larger display, keyboard, wired internet, or other peripherals, the YCE Docking Station is definitely worth considering.
