Tour of Homes protection for oriental rugs
Went against the directions warning against putting this on wool rugs. I placed directly on 100 year old oriental rugs and fuzzy flokati wool rugs. We had over 1,000 people touring our home during a rainy weekend and this worked well to see the rug underneath while protecting from dirty shoes. Next time I will wrap the edges of the rug with non sticky saran wrap/cling wrap first then place this adhesive film. When removing this from the edges it did want to pull on the wool knots where the ends are frayed. If there is an area that has a tear that would pull wool or fiber, I would suggest covering that will saran wrap too. The saran wrap will stick to the adhesive film but not allow it to stick to a delicate area on rug or carpet. Slight learning curve on how to place. 2 people make it go quicker. We placed a few inches onto wood floor and rolled onto rug, lifted up and unrolled about 2 feet while other person smoothes film from middle out to edges. When removing the film roll from edges into center and it sticks to itself while keeping dirt contained. I'll use this again.

Worked great!
We used this to protect the carpet during our move, and it worked great! It stayed in place and removed easily and cleanly when we were done.A couple spots on the stairs had a hole because the dolly caught the edge, but other than that, it held up to the furniture and us.Application was difficult, however. I tried to apply it myself, but it's so sticky, it just kept rolling in on itself when I tried to put it down the stairs. So I enlisted my husband's help, and he was able to pull it straight out so I could stick it in place. Much easier that way!Overall, it met our needs, and I would recommend it.

Do not recommend- hard to use and doesn't stick to flooring
Purchased since I use a similar product frequently to protect my carpets from visitors and pets and needed a larger roll. Based on product reviews, I purchased this film with high hopes of a quality product. Film was extremely difficult to unroll, stuck to itself rendering it unusable and didn't stick to the floors as expected. Ended up wasting so much of the product to try to get a full width strip of the product that never adhered to the floors. Constantly having to replace it since if it is stepped on in any way, it bunches up and sticks to itself and no longer covers the areas I am trying to protect. Do not recommend. Will go back to the more expensive but far more reliable product at the big box home improvement stores.

Sticks Well in some spots
I used this for our new build and maybe it’s because the carpet is brand new but on the edges it didn’t stick down. we had to stomp on the middle part a lot to get that part to stick. I would use this again because it did protect the carpet. Would probably over lap it for the edges. Need two people to apply this. Very sticky. It will stick to its self.

Great product!
We live in an "Historic District" in our town and Halloween is a big event in our neighborhood. This past spring, we replaced old jute carpet squares with new ones. They look great! But, we get 650+ kids on Halloween plus parents who accompany their young ones.....So, we purchased this plastic film for Halloween. We rolled it out yesterday afternoon (10/31/24). It was very sticky and adhered well. It was easy to do with 2 people--one rolling it and the other patting it down. Then, the kids arrived. This film handled all that foot traffic better than we expected. It didn't tear, pull up, nor caused anyone to trip or stumble. We will purchase this film again for next year. And BTW, the photo is from the morning AFTER about 800 people walked on it. I am very impressed!

Tough and Reliable, But Tricky to Apply Alone
We used this carpet protection film during our recent move, and overall, it was wonderful. It provided excellent coverage and gave us real peace of mind with all the foot traffic from the movers going in and out. Even with a large dog walking across it constantly, it held up impressively—no punctures, no tears. The only challenge was applying it. Doing it solo was definitely tricky—it tends to bunch or stick where you don’t want it to. With two people, though, the process was much smoother and quicker. Once it was down, it stayed put and did exactly what it was supposed to do.Highly recommend for anyone moving or doing renovations, just grab a second set of hands for the application!

IT WAS HARD TO WORK WITH!!
Two stars because it IS covering two area rugs. But it looks terrible. I would be embarrassed if I had done this for an open house or to have company see it. I just wanted to cover rugs while I train my two new rescue dogs. The plastic is difficult to pull off the roll and doesn’t pull off evenly even with two people. It STICKS TO ITSELF at the ends and on both sides. We ended up with about 18” strips.

Hard to use.
I'm sure this is a good product however we had a lot of trouble using. Plastic didn't come of rolls very easily. it stuck to the carpet very well but too difficult for us to use.
