Like others i have seen some people using these as drag mats after overseeding or top dressing their lawn. I was dubious if this would actually work well. I need not have feared. A bit of rope and an old brush handle and all strapped together in less than 20 minutes.It is the perfect weight for dragging the top soil around and levelling your lawn with ease, due to the pattern of the surface it catches loose bits and drags them into hollows too, honestly an absolute game changer of a tool for getting a lovely smooth level lawn and i would highly recommend it.

Based on a YouTube clip I attached this to a sawn off broom handle then attached the two using about 20+ 60 mm cable ties ex Ebay. I then attached a nylon strap about 5 metres long and use it as a lawn leveller to spread out top dressing to which I have scattered lawn seed. This is an excellent assembly costing less than £30 and does the job perfectly.

These are fairly durable but does take some time and attention before grass comes through and establishes
