Fun educational set, helps children learn the weather and colours. In addition to the instructions you can invent your own games with the set, such as trying to tell a story using the different weather shapes to set the scene. The included container is perfect for storing after play, it's compact and easy to hide away

Very sturdy pieces in nice colours
The pieces arrive in a plastic tub, which has a handle built into the lid - a nice touch, making it easier for a child to carry them. There are 72 counters in total. These are split into 6 shapes, with each shape having two counters in each of 6 colours. The sun measures 4cm across. The snowflake is about 3.8cm from point to point. The cloud is about 4.7cm at the widest point x 3.3cm at the tallest point. The raindrop is 2.3cm x 3.8cm.The wind is 4.8cm x 3cm wide max. They have depths between 0.4cm (the tops of the wind) and 1xm (the clouds and the centre of the sun). The sizes make these fairly chunky pieces, and they're sturdy as they're made from a slightly pliable recycled plastic. This also makes them relatively easy to keep clean. These lend themselves to discussions about weather (and how you can report more than one type at the same time, as well as on the same day), sorting by shape and/or colour, and counting. There are several suggestions in the booklet that comes with them, and can be found inside the tub. When I requested these they were priced at £16.29, but at the time of writing this review they're now £18.00Although there are a number of ways of using these (and despite the fact they're sturdy), I feel both these prices are a little high unless the child shows interest in discussing the weather.

Great for little ones learning!
I really do like all of the different learning resources and these are no exception. Much better than children sitting in front of screens all day! These are great for teaching my 3yo colours, objects and helping her become familiar with counting. She loves the fact it's weather related and really enjoys being asked to either find the matching colours or symbols to pile up. Really good quality pieces and it comes with a handy storage tub with handle! Great. Would recommend

Lovely to add another dimension to sorting!
These counters are really a great way to increase awareness of the Natural World. I used to use a weather, day, date, month chart which we would complete every day. This would be another resource that you could use in the classroom to sort, count with that adds exploration of the Natural World. Children need to be exposed to a variety of medias and anything that is bright and engaging encourages learning.Happy to recommend, they could also be used at home, if your child is struggling with early mathematical concepts.
