You know how sometimes you've got to click a lighter a few times before it lights? Well this lighter doesn't have this. It lights instantly, the first time I press the button, every single time. The lighter also has some heft to it, which is something I was looking for. I'd say it's a tad heavier than the IM Corona it is replacing. For comparison, the Corona is maybe half the thickness and 7/8th the height. This one is larger and has a different style. The pipe holder could be great for certain situations. Seems like a cool idea but it won't fit all pipes. There are built-in tools like a tamper and a poker. There is also a dial to set the flame height. Overall this lighter is a great value. Much more affordable than the Corona but offering some similar features.

I hate lighters. As an avid smoker of something or other for over 50 years I have purchased several dozen refillables over that time. The fact it works reliably is impressive. It is heavier than I expected, I use it as a desk lighter, but it is pocket size. Very solid, with good features, but again, it's a refillable, soft flame, pipe lighter that actually works. This one has had heavy use for the first 6 weeks. EDIT: 4 months in the striker is failing, which is a shame, the rest of the lighter is exceptional. I probably broke even v/s Bic lighters to date. 8 months, the striker is horrible, still works.

****EDITED by choice**** I'm leaving the original review since I typed it already. While the first lighter had issues lighting. The seller reached out QUICKLY and offered a replacement. The replacement arrived very quickly AND worked immediately on the first try. I wish I could 4.5 stars. The ONLY reason it isn't 5 stars is due to the fact you might get a wonky one. BUT when you get one that works, it works. As for it being a pipe rest. It works for a bent pipe and even a McArthur big ole corn cob pipe. So yeah. Overall, a nice little lighter. It's a heavy lighter. The downside is that it takes 3-4 attempts to Light. Even adjusting the "+ -" it still takes several attempts to get a flame. I'm fairly sure that shaking it doesn't actually help, but it makes me feel better to do something in hopes of it lighting. Once lit, it does fine. But if you get frustrated and start clicking away, you'll likely click right past one that actually lights. Perhaps it is a placement of the arc/spark, I'm not sure. To be clear, you can hear the "hiss" of butane each time, and it was just filled before taking the video. It doesn't always light after shaking either.

Seems to be built tough, holds pipe well, im liking it.

EDIT: Unreliable. Nearly unusable now Disappointed. The lighter worked GREAT for the first two weeks, give or take, but even after topping off the Butane, about a month in the flint/spark function has become inconsistent. Takes about 7-10 presses of the lighter to get a flame to appear. Definitely had higher hopes for this.

Newer Update: This one is still having issues with lighting. It is sparking when I press the button every time, but not lighting. It does better with lighting when it is held upright, and worse when held downwards like into the pipe bowl. Which is obviously not great as it is used downwards... But it still works. Using it, I like the tools, the cleaning tool is better than my dedicated pipe tool's as it is angled, but it is a bit short for deeper pipes. Update: Fan Kai messaged me after this review and sent me a new lighter. It was only marginally better, lighting around 60 percent of the time. I shared a video with them and they sent me a third lighter, which works much, much better. The plastic adjustment on this third one is still plastic, but seems less of a mushy plastic and a bit tougher. Despite my issues, Fan Kai had great customer service if you have any concerns. Pros: I like the build quality of the lighter, I was worried it was going to be too large and heavy. The stand part doesn't perfectly hold every pipe, but it has enough configurability I can typically still get it to work which I am more than happy with. All of the pipe tools work great and are easier to select which one I want than I expected. I have the brass color and I like the color. Cons: When I click the starter, it only lights about 3/5 times for me. This isn't a major issue, as I can still get it to fire with one more click, but I wish it was a bit more reliable. Additionally, it doesn't handle wind to well, and a light breeze further decreases the chance it will light. My lighter may be more faulty than is typical though. My last issue is while I like the adjustability of the lighter, the piece meant to dial the flame is made of a weak plastic (it is meant to be adjusted with a flathead screwdriver). It was already starting to bend from when I adjusted it upon first getting it. I am now hesitant to adjust it too much as I am worried I could break it, but hopefully that is a set-it and forget-it piece anyways.

They look great and have lots of features, but none are really standout. The tamper is too small, the lighter doesn’t hold much fuel, and the pipe holder feels a bit unstable. On the bright side, it’s a solid, well-made lighter with useful tools for your pipe. The balancing feature is a nice touch, even though I don’t use it much, and it feels durable. It’s not flimsy or cheap, and I enjoy playing around with it. It holds a decent amount of fuel and is super easy to use. I was impressed by how sturdy it feels—good quality overall. The soft flame is easy to adjust, and the built-in pipe tools are great for when you’re out and about. I’d definitely recommend this pipe lighter. I’ve only used it with the default flame setting, but the built-in poker tool is really handy. It feels like it’ll last a long time, and its weight is a plus (especially since it doubles as a pipe stand). Filling it up was a breeze—just flip it upside down.

Meets my expectations. No longer dealing with matches or having flame lick my finger lighting my pipe

Super briquet qui fonctionne à merveille. Il est lourd, solide et son design est élégant. Les accessoires sont parfaits, le support de la pipe aussi. Très pratique et vraiment fonctionnel, c'est impeccable.
