0.08-16mm² Ferrule Crimping Tool, Lytool Hexagonal Bootlace Ferrule Crimping Tool Kit Self-Adjustable Ratchet Crimping Pliers with 1200Pcs Twin Wire Terminal

Lytool - 1200 Ferrules (0.08-16mm²) in a lidded plastic case plus a Hexagonal Crimping Tool all at a very fair price. I would describe this as more of a DIY/Light User kit rather than for a Professional Electrician as whilst it is very fit for purpose, it is not as easy to use or, as quick to adjust the tool as say a Knipex, that said as the latter is nearly four times as expensive, it really is perfectly acceptable for a light or occasional user. The Ferrules are colour coded in the German DIN 46228 format and stored in their dedicated compartments. The case lid shows the sizes/colours and to date, they are all fit for purpose and work well....... IMPORTANT TIP - I would strongly recommend cutting a thin piece of foam or thick card to size and fitting it inside the lid to cover the compartments when the lid is closed thus preventing spillage of the ferrules from one compartment to another. I accidentally dropped the case and ended up with black ones mixed with blue and grey mixed with yellow and, and, and...... Very Frustrating! The Crimping Tool is substantial, quite heavy and it does take some energy to fully perform the crimp, especially the larger sizes. There is an adjuster for different sizes but this entails undoing and then re-tightening a screw. NOTE: I lubricated all the moving parts on the tool with a little Duck Oil, which I would say is a good idea. Crimping is a straightforward and reassuring process. Simply strip the cable, insert it into the correct sized ferrule, insert the ferrule into the Crimping Tool's jaws, and squeeze the handles fully closed to crimp. The finished job looks very neat and professional and thus far will not pull out manually, even after being screwed in place and released. An adjustable dial would have been nice and make the adjusting process quicker and easier, and a carry case for the tool would be nice, but again for the price, I cannot and will not complain, hence almost 100% Highly Recommended!

Really good quality, does exactly what I need it to do and good value for money

For the small amount of ferrules I use I didn't want to spend a fortune, but these are great hexagonal crimpers at a reasonable cost.

Bought this as I'd mislaid a previous set of quad jaw crimps somewhere but this replacement absolutely blows the old one out of the water. I'm not an electrician so could never justify the price of some of the more well known "pro" brands out there and won't be able to give these the same level of (ab)use but I very much doubt they'll do any better job than these do for my use cases. I've used the tiniest ferrules on very fine stranded cable up to medium sized 6mm stranded cables and the results have been great with the 6 jaws making a really neat and firm crimp. My hands are just about large enough to do them with a single hand but can imagine doing a 16mm cable will definitely be a two handed job. Highly recommended.

Used them to fit a boiler wiring They feel quite strong but not too comfortable in the hand unless you have big hands as they have to be opened fully as the mechanism will get stuck if not and wont close. i gave it a five star as the price reflects the quality as i feel it's well worth the money you can spend £100 on one so I'm quite pleased with this one

Received quickly and just in time for what i wanted it for. The selection of ferrules is great and there is plenty of them supplied. Use of the tool is easy and it makes great crimps each and every time.

Unlike many crimpers this one creates a hexagonal crimp. Unfortunately, in many cases there isn't room for an insulated ferrule and uninsulated item are more convenient. Where there's room the supplied ferruls are good.
