🔥 Cool down in style with the GeminII M5!
The Cooler Master GeminII M5 LED is a low-profile CPU cooler designed for compact systems, featuring five direct contact heat pipes and a slim 62.7mm height. It includes a Fire Red LED PWM fan that operates between 500-1600 RPM, delivering an airflow of 50.43 CFM while maintaining a low noise level. Ideal for 2U and HTPC environments, this cooler combines performance with aesthetic appeal.

I find that the fan mounting was much better, and the mounting hardware
When I bought this, there was no review on it. So being the first, here are my impressions of the cooler so far. It is a solid choice for a low profile cpu cooler. It does run about a degree or 2 hotter then the big scythe shiruken rev b. However, I find that the fan mounting was much better, and the mounting hardware, while not leagues above other coolers, wasnt to bad, making installation easy. Now I will say the fan that comes with it, isn't all that good. Its quiet, but I find it to be lacking in cooling potential. I bought this already assuming this, having had other cooler master coolers in the past. I swapped out the 120 mm fan, for a 140mm fan, with 120mm mounting holes. This literally brought temperatures down almost 10 degrees. Its a good cooler, and I enjoy the sturdiness of the fan mounting. If your like me, and hate using zip ties on your heat sink fins, and are looking for a cooler, that out of the box will do what it says, then this is the heat sink for you.

Great Product
The stock fan was faulty out the box. (bearing noise) I replaced it with a sickle flow on sale for $7. Also be aware that you need RAM with low profile heat sinks if you want to use it over your RAM for added cooling. Kingston might work. I used Patriot and cut the heatsinks off to save $20.

Incredibly efficient fan, but
It is an incredibly efficient fan, but it is a lot larger than it looks in the picture. I was concerned with the height, because the fan I wanted was millimetres too tall. It never once occurred to me to be concerned with the width and length of the fan, (had never owned one that was any wider than a stock fan).It leaves just enough room above the graphics card in my system for the blade of a butter knife to fit through, and actually hangs over one of the RAM slots. It is an incredible fan, but I will have to change eventually so that I can add RAM.TLDR; GREAT fan, but be sure to check your measurements first.

Fingers Hurt
Had do redo the screws because the fan assumes you can remove the backplate. Their website says it supports LGA2011-v3. It does not— not without drilling through the board. So I reversed the screws and used a wrench to turn the screwdriver head because the clearance is too small. Should have just returned it I guess.

Very low profile
Nice cooler for low profile case, I'm using it on I7 9700k (no overclocking). Wish fan could be reversed. Pulls air down, causing additional heat on my nvme.

Used on an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition CPU
Recently I downsized all my computer cases as we introduced Linux Desktops throughout the house. My old Win 7 and Win XP were in Fractal Design Define R3 cases and now reside in Antec VSK-4000-U3 cases purchased here on Amazon. I opted to go with Cooler Master Gemini II M5 (RED) LED because it was cheaper than the M4 (no LED) and replaced the RED LED fan with a Noctua fan (better fan with a longer service life). No complaints. The fan makes less noise than the stock fan and runs quiet. The old XP has many years of life left and runs a dedicated negative Film Scanner that will not run on newer OS's.

It's not the worst and it's not the greatest
I was looking for a low profile cooler for my CPU because a full standing one won't fit my case and I didn't want to use the stock AMD cooler my Ryzen 5 2600 came with. I honestly had to remove some of the fins because it would't clear the piece covering my IO components. If it was honestly raised up just a couple of centimeters, I would have been fine. The fan is very quite.I do wish the light on it were brighter or at least have for LEDs.I have my CPU over clocked along with the GPU and under heavy loads on bench marking, the highest it got was 80 degrees celcias which is a little too close for comfort. I may have to get a water cooler instead. No fault to this cooler, I'm sure it would do find if I didn't over clock my CPU and GPU.

Good compact cooler for m-itx builds
My Ryzen 3800x idles at about 43 degrees with this. Unfortunately due to the case I use (Silverstone SG13) I needed the fan to suck air up through the cooler and into the PSU instead of blow it down and the included fan is not reversible as the fan blades collide with the cooler if you mount it upside down. I ended up having to buy a SFX PSU and then bought a more powerful fan from Noctua which mounted fine on this cooler (with different screws).
