I used this heavily when the AC in my car was out, and it was beneficial. It doesn’t cool you down per se, but it does help regulate temperature and prevent back or bum sweat. It is very easy to install- keep in mind that it does plug into the cigarette lighter ports so you may need an extension like I did. I will also say it’s quite uncomfortable if you wear shorts or a skirt; I kept a sweater in my car to drape under my legs in these scenarios. For the price I paid, I think it was very worth it and helped to make a sucky experience a little better.Update: I got my AC fixed and gave this to a friend whose car AC went out, which was a lifesaver for her. She drives over an hour to work and gets to work all sweaty. She said this kept her dry and really helped her regulate her temperature. She also said the same thing about it being uncomfortable if you're in shorts/skirts. Updated from 4 to 5 stars since two users have approved of it.

I love the concept. However, the airflow was lacking. No temperature change. Not comfortable to sit on due to small size. Returned product due to not enough value for the money. Poor performance.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this cooling pad but I figured for $40 I will give it a try. I figured if it doesn't serve it's purpose I will just send it back. To my surprise it's fantastic. My back and butt always end up sweating in the summer due to my leather interior no matter how high I have the AC on. I have had 4 long hot days in my car to test it out and I think it has been wonderful so far. I don't even have to have it on the highest setting for it to keep me dry. And with the AC going there is actually a cooling sensation that it gives. As far as noise, it does,'t bother me in the least bit as it's drown out my my AC, radio and road noise. Honestly, it's not bothersome even when AC is off and radio is low. I can't speak to longevity just yet but I love it so far!

Can't feel nothing

I gave the seat cover a good test. I drove about 11 hours in 1 day in 90 degree heat. I generally felt the seat cover was comfortable and found that it helped to cool me down when I was sweating. The cover seems to blow room temp air so I mostly only noticed it working when I first turned it on after a stop. Once my body was cooled I stopped noticing it blowing air. The cover seemed to push me a little closer to the steering wheel and raise my position in the seat a little. I was able to lower the seat but it was already all the way back so it's something I will have to get used to.It is also a little loud, the passenger asked what the noise was. Overall it was easy to install, comfortable, relatively inexpensive, and most importantly it seems to work when needed.

I loved until it stopped working, it lasted about 10 week and the fan started feeling hot and now at 3 months I have to turn it off often so it cools off and can start working again. I going to try another brand.

My son’s AC in his car died. The cost to fix it is worth more than the car. It still runs great, but can’t afford to throw money at it. This fan thing seemed like a great compromise. He is grateful for the ability to drive with the windows up to keep the car at a decent temperature. He says it’s not uncomfortable and it was easy to install. He just drove it 4 hours to Houston, and he said it held up great! Very stable.

I bought this based off the reviews. Now they’ve gone down. I understand why. It’s not great. And to top it off they won’t return it for the full purchase price. 😡The part I liked is the versatility of being able to use it in the car & house. But that’s it. It’s basically a loud, padded seat cover that does nothing to keep you cool.
