I bought this with a 6 pack of 6 LED puck lights to install in my Cargo conversion trailer to operate on an off grid or plugged in and inverted scenario. I bought a second 6 pack of puck lights so my rheostat currently operates 12 lights and it works well. The rheostat seems to be of decent quality and works well with the lights. The switch has a positive on/off detent and a smooth rotary action through out. The one thing I don't like is the the switch housing can rotate inside the switch plate once installed if the friction nut becomes loose. Not a deal breaker but something to think about when installing. The jam nut needs to remain tight. So far very, very low level of flickering and only briefly while adjusting. I would buy again. Price point out allows 5 stars.

Worked great with my 12v lights

My kitchen cabinet lights stopped working due to a faulty dimmer switch. Electrical function is perfect. Very satisfied

This dimmer worked for a few weeks, but then it failed internally after installation. Even when the knob was switched fully OFF, the LEDs stayed on at full brightness. The brightness control did nothing no dimming at any position. After testing, I found the output of the dimmer was always conducting power, as if it was stuck “ON” inside. The wiring was correct, and the load was well within the rating of the dimmer. This model is rated for 3 amps and my circuit was protected with a 3 amp fuse, so the unit should not have been overloaded. The failure appears to be an internal short in the dimmer’s electronics, which caused it to act like a straight wire instead of a dimmer. In short: the dimmer did not turn the LEDs off or adjust brightness, making it unusable.

Switch and dimmer Work ok. Push button feels a little mushy, my usage will be low so it should last awhile. Looks nice. Instructions are good, ⅞ hole saw is perfect. Since it’s only a push button spring clips would work instead of threads and nut.

Great product just like it was advertised I would recommend and buy again

This an update on an earlier review I left. The product I purchased was as quoted on website. I had miss read it. Customer service great and even offered a refund but I able to make it work.

Installed easily as I had a ground in the panel where I was installing the switch. I had hoped to use without the aluminum cover plate in a plastic monitor panel but after install I felt the switch was getting too warm. So I moved to a location that allowed me to use the faceplate but isn’t as convenient a location. I’m only loading this 6amp version with 3.1 amps so I was surprised how warm the switch gets. The lights however dim well. As others noted this switch makes the lights flicker a little as you are adjusting the knob but they do not flicker otherwise.

I bought this dimmer to use in a new travel trailer. The dinette has 4 LED puck style lights in the ceiling over it which are too bright at times. The wiring instructions are helpful and installation should be simple if you understand 12v wiring and making proper connections. In my case the original on/off switch had only positive wires connected to it so I had connect a negative wire to the nearest light (all the lights have both positive and negative wires) and pull it back to the dimmer switch. This is a good quality dimmer that works smoothly with no flickering. Really happy with it! Supper with nice low lighting is way more enjoyable.

Good instructions - seems fairly good quality and dimms with very little (if any flicker) - recommended.

ダウンライトの電気の取り方をシガーのオスにしています。 ポータブル電源のシガーメスに刺すと正常に調光できるのですが、サブバッテリーからとっているシガーメスに刺すと一切調光出来なくつきっぱなしになってしまいます。 なぜなのでしょうか？

We have two dimmers like this in our camper van that we use with our LED puck lights (same brand). Works great, dimmer works well. I've had other brands in the past that caused the lights to flicker on lower setting, but this one doesn't do this. Works great. Love that it is small and not too apparent in the camper.
