Perfect for home gym or ballerina's room!
Installed in our daughter's bedroom for her private ballet lessons and she loves it. She has had another barre in the past that came flying out of the wall with any amount of pressure (and I promise it was properly installed) but this one is a great length for sturdiness in drywall.

Good but only two mounting holes per bracket
I bought the 80” ballet bar/brackets from the same company, with which I was very pleased. Each bracket included three mounting holes. I bought the 48” bar thinking it would have the same mounting brackets, but the mounting brackets have only two holes. This makes for a slightly less secure bar and makes the installation a little tricky because the bracket overlaps the top mounting hole.On the plus side, the two in-line mounting holes ease installation directly into studs. If you intend to mount the bar to a 2x6 mounted to the wall and are not concerned with stud locations, look for the 3-holes bracket. If you are mounting directly to the studs, this model is acceptable. If you are attempting to secure the bar to only the drywall, consider carefully your life choices.Outside of this bracket/bar system is the best. The bar is flush to the brackets, the brackets look great, and the system is very reasonably priced.

Near perfect construction
I have never become a fan of theatrical ballet. That does not mean I don’t appreciate the art form. I cannot help but marvel at the incredible skill, strength, and dedication it requires. That is probably why I stopped to look when I saw a ballet barre offered for sale on Amazon.I needed a cylindrical rod of the same length as the barre and I knew that to be used for ballet it had to be perfect. As a Parkinson’s patient, my own project required that such piece provide significant support and hold up for years of use.I would not presume to rate the barre as if I understand the requirements for its use in ballet, though I have often seen how it is used in practice. I am well qualified to rate the barre as a bracketed support. It may be the best example of that I have ever seen. The barre is perfectly straight and its finish is beautiful and unyielding. It can endure years of use for any reasonable project and years of physical contact showing virtually no wear that would destroy the finish of most pieces. It is extremely strong, beginning with its cylindrical shape and perfect construction. As such, it has no weak points. Added to that are its two brackets, made with great skill as well and uniquely designed to hold such an object inches from a wall without complaint. Finally, it is simply a work of art in its own right, a beautiful device, both its wood and its metal. I am honored to have it for my use.

the smooth and natural wood ballet barre
This SEKEWARE ballet barre is a solid piece of kit. Built from sturdy wood, it's well-made and comes with everything you need to get it set up. I didn't even need to use the expansion screw. I particularly like the color of the wood bar - it's a perfect match for my natural wood floor and looks like it's always been part of the house. However, installation wasn't a walk in the park for me, unlike what some other reviews might suggest. It's worth noting that the M8 screw has a hex head. I found using a wrench to tighten it was way easier than a screwdriver. Would've been a quicker job if I'd clocked that earlier.
