I got this mainly to help my hornwort grow but it's been helping all my plants grow. I have a 37gal tank from Petsmart, its tall. I've noticed my plants still struggle to root into the special plant substrate right away but if I let it sit on top and grow more roots then they grow better when I plant it. I really love that I no longer have to remember to turn the light on and off. I have it set to turn on at 6am and off at 6pm with a 30 minute transition. I think the 2nd setting is 6:30am and 6:30pm? I did have to play with it a little after the time change as the clock doesn't change so you have to math it out to get It to whatever times you want. Now I have this tank in my bedroom and I did notice that if I sleep while the light is on I get migraines. I'm not sure if this will happen to everyone or just me but I thought I would point it out. I now keep a blanket over it during my sleeping hours(struggles of a 3rd shifter).

I love that I can fall back on a default timer for when the different light options should turn on/off automatically, but easily switch to turn on which option I want whenever I want. The white light lets me see the tank clearly, but the blue light is really cool (and my neon tetras and platinum betta and albino cory catfish all glow really cool colors under this light). I like how the blue light makes some of my fish 'glow,' and it really adds to the vibe of the room (especially because I have other blue and red lights in my room).

In the end they made it right. They sent me a replacement, which also had issues, but the third one works flawlessly. Based on other reviews I think my experience must have been very uniquely bad, so I upped my stars to 4 based on their continued support and willingness to make it work out. And the light itself is fantastic. Thanks Nicrew. Original: I've been going back and forth with customer support for like two weeks now. They want me to troubleshoot all these things on a light that DOES NOT WORK. I'm just sick of this.
