Just got it a few days ago but so far it is just what I was looking for, and today I am ordering a second one. I have a desk made from painted wood, and my desk chair occasionally bumps it, leaving scratches or scraping off a bit of paint on the front edge. Those marks detract from the appearance of an otherwise beautiful desk, and it drives my wife crazy. I was trying to avoid being forced to use a glass top, and glass tops aren't perfect at protecting the front edge anyway, just the top. The front edge is where 99% of the damage occurs. See the attached before and after photos showing the problem, and how it looks after this solution. The lip on this is perfect for protecting the desk from damage and it solves my problem. The manufacturer is very clear that you shouldn't put hot items on it, but other than that it does just what I need. My only wish is that it was available in more sizes, I'd like one a bit larger. I'm tossing a couple older desk pads to replace them with two of these.

It feels nice, however it's kinda expensive. I like how I didn't need an additional mouse pad for it. However it does slide around the desk quite a bit still.

Looks good, the material seems to be of good quality but only time well tell. I like that it did not come rolled up in a tube, it came in a flat box. There is no bad oder to it, that's very important. I like that it's rigid, not curling up at the ends like some of the others advertise. I hope it last because it was not cheep!

Unfortunately, this desk mat did not meet my expectations. The overall quality feels cheaper than I expected based on the product description, and it does not feel like something that will hold up well with regular daily use. The mat also does not sit as cleanly and securely on the desk as I had hoped. For something advertised as having full-grip fixation and an edge-locking design, I expected a much better fit and a more premium finish. It may work for basic use, but for the price and the way it is advertised, I expected better quality, better construction, and a more polished product. I would not purchase it again.

As someone who has a bad view of laminated desks this is a great option for keep the edge from being able to be exposed to moisture. So far is doing a great job of not rubbing my wrist on the edge and causing damage to the desk or causing pain in the wrist as this has some cushion to help with making it comfortable to rest on.

I have purchased more than my fair share of desk pads on Amazon. All the others were cheap rollup flimsy pads that do not stay flat on my desks and look horrible after a month of use. I also needed a desk pad that would protect the edge of my desk where I rest my arms when typing. This one was perfect. It not only looks great with the black edge stitching, but it is also very thick and durable. It arrives flat in a box unlike all the others because it is thick and hard and not possible to roll up for shipping. Definitely a cut above the rest.
