Straight out of the box these feel quality. The sound is amazing and the noise cancelling is second to none. These are my third pair of Bose headphones and are by far the best.

Having had a set of Sony XM1's for years I was expecting big improvements in sound when I finally upgraded to these. Initially I wasn't that impressed with the so7nd gains but after a good month of listening and playing around with the EQ, they have really come alive. They have taken some significant wearing in thought. They produce a nice, warm sound and open with most music well. Detail is really good. My only gripe is the hinge mechanism. Is machine metal and it's sharp. REALLY sharp. So much so I can't actually belive they've let them go to production this way. It's a minor niggle, but if you csth your skin in the hinge when unfolding it's bloody painful!

Over the last 20 years I have bought 8 high spec Bose products and never had any problems. Always loved the features and the sound quality. I bought these headphones expecting the same and I was really shocked when they malfunctioned after only 14 days and I started a return after trying to contact Bose as per amazon suggestion without any success. I have yet to be refunded despite sending them back 10 days ago! The left earphone started to have an undulating tone. I suspect this was related to a malfunction on the noise cancellation process. Whilst these headphones were working I was in awe of them and I especially liked the way they folded down to fit in a small carrying zipped box. I never expected this to happen. Is BOSE moving / moved production to China and manufacturing standards are falling? I really hope not.
