A well made beautiful & functional piece of art!😍
Purchased the bigger 90x90x20cm NZ Pinewood Skyline Diffuser directly from Timber Acoustics along with several Absorption Panels via Amazon in Feb 2021. I must say, i was quite impressed with the craftsmanship of it. Truth be told, I had initially purchased it predominately for its intriguing look and as a functional Art Piece. The purchase experience was very good as the owner Mr. Yatish Chawla himself followed up through out and assisted me with guidance regarding improving acoustics & options.Installation:I fastened the top section with the provided 5 x GI Wall Clamps. The piece was back breakingly heavy and needed 2 people to hold it on either sides while i held the whole unit in the centre standing above a big step ladder to hang it high up on the wall where i screwed 3” long heavy gauge screws at 8.5 Feet height level from the floor. It held up really well on the thin 4” plastered brick wall. After the back breaking experience, I highly recommend prospective DIY enthusiast buyers like me to take professional help with installation. The DIY route i took is very dangerous. I deliberately did it myself because i didn’t want to make this job an exception when i did my entire 13.2 Channels Home Cinema Design, Installation, Wiring, Acoustic treatment, Room EQ etc.. all by myself giving me a sense of satisfaction. But, I almost broke my back in the process. Passion for quality audio makes us do crazy things🤦🏻♂️😂. Don’t do what i did 🚫🤦🏻♂️😂End Result:I turned on the AVR, put the sound mode in full Auro 3D Music mode to test the output sound signature when all Speakers ouputs sound and Boom😲, i was surprisingly blown away by the impact it created on the sound produced from the active 11 Speakers. I was shocked by how well it mildly softened the slightly harsher high frequencies & amplified the sound in the room making the room feel bigger than actual. I was able to notice the subtle difference immediately after installing because I have listened to the same tracks playlist over 100 times before installing the Diffuser. I was so happy 😀 then realising that all my back breaking hard work & money spent on it was really worth it despite having made several compromises like not using Carpet on the reflective floor etc.. as a personal choice.
