This plant based hair dye comes in 10 small pouches . This makes it convenient to use and carry on a trip.Has a light sweet fragrance and is easy to apply.It does work a little but is not effective if you want deep color. It does make white hair grey but this is not what you want from a black dye.Since this is plant based, it does not harm hair. The shampoo works nice though, It makes the hair soft and silky.

So I'll try to be as helpful as possible in this review bc I think this product is great for some, but not for others.I use box dye regularly, and have used henna in the past. These are conveniently packaged separately - no mixing of any kind required. I took a before picture where you can see my roots, I'm maybe 25% gray?The kit came with what I'm assuming to be a plastic cape of some sort, an elastic cap, a pair of gloves, and two tiny elastic caps that I think are for the ears. Directions don't say. These are all disposable items so you'll only have eggnog to do the first color, otherwise you need to get your own product for the others.The product comes out looking like a gel shampoo, with portions of the dye color and green, which I'm assuming is what gives it the lathering effect like shampoo. It does lather up when you work it through the hair, so it does feel like using shampoo. The suds go down quickly while the process is taking place. Directions are not clear on whether or not the hair should be wet, but I did it on dry hair.There is also a scent to this... it's a light fresh scent but it also does smell a bit like chemical dye. I don't smell much of shad the insists claim to be, so who really knows. It definitely is nothing as strong smelling or chemical smelling as traditional box dye, tho.I kept it in my hair for probably 2 hours, directions call for 40 minutes but I got caught up in some things I had to do and I also wanted to make sure it would take to the gray. My scalp did itch a little bit but I also have a sensitive scalp. I showered and rinsed as usual and my hair did feel a bit like straw, so I made sure to condition my hair very well. I let air dry and took the after photo so you can see.I got the "Coffee" color which is a rich brown that's slightly on the red side. You can see that my gray hair picked up a reddish tint, but it is not completely "dyed". Instead it looks like highlights and more blends my hair together than actuality dying it all one color. I actually prefer this, I think it looks more natural and adds a glistening sort of quality to my hair.That being said, I'm not sure this would be a great option for predominantly gray hair, as it might only tint it, but I don't feel it will do the same as actual hair dye. I am also curious how long it will last, so I will have to update on that later.That being said, at $1/treatment (unless you need to use multiple packs, which would be necessary if dying a LOT of hair. I concentrated mostly just on the roots and didn't add much to the bottom of my shoulder-length hair) this is very reasonable. I think it's a nice option when you're in between dye treatments and want to make it "last" a bit longer between. I only box dye my hair once every 4 months but there is that in bergen time where it would be nice if things were a little more blended. I find this to be an excellent option to camouflage the roots a bit in between dye jobs.For me, an really pleased with this product, but for others who are looking for an accrual dye job quality, this is probably not the best product for you.

Make sure to evenly distribute the dye and avoid getting any on your skin or clothing as it can stain. After 40 minutes have passed, rinse out thoroughly in the shower using warm water to help remove all traces of the dye from your hair.This is a great hair dye and affordable. Highly recommended.

The material quality is very good. My wife has very sensitive skin on her head. She has bought the same type of product before, but it irritated her skin and caused redness, swelling and itching, but this one does not. nice product

I love that this hair dye is made from natural plant ingredients rather than harsh chemicals. It is a multi purpose tool, which colors, cleans, and conditions the hair. There are multiple packs in the bottle, and I have thick hair, so I did have to use more than one, but still have enough leftover for another full dye, and a touch up application, all for the price of one drug store boxed dye. The instructions are clear, and gloves are included. The development time is a little longer than box dyes, but I don’t mind considering the natural ingredients.
