good backpack for a day pack
I finally found a day pack that my son like to use as a day pack for his scouting adventures. This backpack has several pockets for his different items. It large enough that he could pack all the items in for a day hike and has some room to spare or allow him to personalize what items he wants to carry with him. He's 14 and at 5'-7" that pack fits him very well. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and I think you will be too. It's a nice backpack that won't break the bank. It light weight but doesn't seem or feel to be cheaply made. My don has already used it for a weeklong summer camp, where they have to carry it all day long and it came back with no rips or tears on it, but a little dirt, that we cleaned off very easily.

Very durable
This item is great one of my better purchases I use it when I walk my dog in the park. Normally we walk 2.5 miles early am and in this weather I have to keep him hydrated. Has enough compartments for the both of us i.e. holds the poop bags, cough drops, hand sanitizer, treats etc. No issues with the hydration bag easy to use.

Very Impressed
I purchased this in anticipation of a forecasted heat index of over 100° for the Florida Panthers Stanley Cup parade in celebration in Fort lauderdale. I have never owned a hydration backpack before, so I made sure to do a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and I kept coming back to this particular hydration pack. I did not want to have to deal with leaks or tears during my first trip out. Other, more well-known brands of hydration packs appeared to be around $80 to over $100, which was a bit out of my budget for the moment, which makes the value of this pack even more exciting. The material feels very durable, comfortable padding on the back and in the shoulder straps, heavy duty zippers. The pocket for the water bladder is lined with thermal foil and there is plenty of space to add a couple of lunchbox-sized freeze packs to keep your water deliciously cold. There is a ton of additional storage space as well. The water bladder feels super reliable and the water delivery system is easy once you get the hand of it. For this trip, in addition to the water and freeze packs, I packed a sandwich, banana, two granola bars, two cans of soda in the main pouch, an extra pair of sandals in the bottom zipper, my wallet and keys in a zipper pocket behind the neat American flag patch (nice touch), umbrella and sunscreen in the side pockets, and a small towel in the front pocket. I still had plenty of space and the design of the bag makes it super comfortable without feeling too heavy. The chest and waist straps minimize shifting and rubbing and I never felt fatigued while wearing it for over four hours and walking through crowds all along Fort Lauderdale Beach. The straps are easily adjustable and stay where you put them. I'm very excited to plan my next trip with this hydration backpack, I feel confident that I'll be able to take everything I need for a day trip while staying hydrated and energized.

Trouble with Bite Valve? Read this!
Backpack was comfortable for a plus-sized man. I bought the 2L version, and had a time trying to figure out how the bite valve worked. (It's my first time owning a water bladder with a bite valve) So if you're having the same issue as me (not being able to suck the water out) what you may need to do is push/pull the valve out slightly. There is a locking mechanism that keeps the water from spilling out while you're being active. Then it works great. The water bladder itself did not smell or taste of plastic once I washed it with some Dawn dish soap and gave it a decent enough scrubbing. However, the straw was a different story. Since I didn't know how to properly clean the valves, I soaked them in the same Dawn dish soap I used on the bladder and ran soapy water through the straw. It still tastes like plastic during my first use. After using it on a half-hour run, the temperature of the water was nice and cool still, though it did lose a few degrees. I was pleasantly surprised to have nice, cold (not ice-cold) water. As a beginner, I would recommend this product to people that are, like me, trying to get in shape and don't want to carry around their phone, wallet, keys, etc. You can simply dump it into the backpack, which has plenty of pockets for just about anything you would normally carry on you, plus some extra space for something larger, like a reading tablet, or a laptop. It's easy to adjust and does the job. I was a tad bit worried that my phone wouldn't fit in the small pocket where you can see the flag (which is detachable in case you aren't feeling representative) but even my Google Pixel 9 with a decent sized case fits, albeit barely so. It's easy to use this thing, and if you're wondering if you should get yourself one or pass it up, the price was absolutely worth the quality of life this backpack/water bladder brings.

Get more bang out of my buck
I purchased this day pack for a recent trip to the Death Valley national park. It is a well-constructed day pack that comes with a water bladder. The water bladder - I ordered the 3L version. It is easy to fill water and also to attach the bladder to the velcro in the pack to secure it. The bag/tube does not have any weird plastic smell. The long drinking tube disconnects at the bottom the bladder and it has a cover that keeps the bite valve clean. The bite valve could be shut off with a simple twist. The materials seem pretty decent. The pack itself is not very big but it does contain a lot of zippered compartments. A large mesh pouch with straps at the very front could hold a wind breaker or puffer jacket (not big though). The pack has waist straps (narrow, not too comfortable), thick padded shoulder straps (very comfortable), and two chest cross straps. The back plate is slightly stiff to improve ventilation. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality, functionality and price point of this pack. My only concern is whether this comply provides the same level of post-sale services as other elite outdoors ware companies. In particular, the silicone bite valve sheath will eventually fail and hopefully replacements are readily available.

Comfortable, Lightweight, and Great Fit
I’m really happy with this hydration backpack. It’s lightweight, so it doesn’t feel heavy or bulky even after wearing it for an extended period, making it great for hiking, biking, or long walks. The adjustable straps are easy to customize and help keep the pack secure without digging into my shoulders. Once adjusted, it stays in place well, even while moving around. The fit is comfortable and sits nicely against my back without shifting. It feels well-balanced, which makes carrying it much more enjoyable. I also like the material. It feels durable while still being lightweight, and the quality seems solid enough to hold up to regular outdoor use. Overall, it’s a comfortable, well-designed hydration backpack that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a dependable option.

Keeps liquid cold
Great product! Took a family vacation cross country and this came in very handy on hikes, walks, travel, biking. We filled with ice first then water. The water stayed cold for hours. Lots of pockets come in handy too. It is insulated so there is no “sweating” through to the outside. Light weight and portable. Love it!!

Great backpack
Great backpack. Looks even better than on photos. Quite spacious and comfortable. I also like the velcro based removable flag. As you can change it based on your own country.

I don't go quadding without it!
Absolutely love this backpack for quadding. I never go anywhere without it. I liked it so much, my daughter insisted on getting one for herself. Now the whole family wants one. Only negative point is cleaning it can be a little tricky. The straw needs a little extra attention and the bladder needs to be dried immediately after cleaning or it will grow slimy. Not a deal breaker and definitely worth the effort. I highly recommend this product.
