Guittard, 100% Unsweetened Chocolate Baking Bar, 6oz Package (Pack of 4)4

I wanted some high quality unsweetened chocolate to add to my diet (antioxidants, minerals), and this has been great. Bitter but smooth, not acidic. I imagine it is fantastic for baking. Personally, I add a few pieces to a bowl of frozen berries and heat it up in the microwave for 2 runs of about 45 seconds at 70% power. I use this as my dessert most days. I'm not going to pretend that it is the most delicious concoction on the planet, but it does the trick 🙃.

This is THE chocolate. Look no further. Tantalizingly smooth, shiny finish. Exhilarating snap. Clearly a superior product. This is a must-try item. I will never see Ghirardelli chocolate bars the same way again. They seem gritty in comparison, and overly bitter in the extreme dark chocolate ranges. And Lindt? Forget it. Mayyybe I’d eat a Lindt bar that’s 80% or darker, but less than that and it just tastes like crappy Easter chocolate. I literally lived on this stuff with natural peanut butter and honey for weeks. (Not recommended, but I had severe diet restrictions at the time, and it was a luxurious solution.)

I use this to make my delicious sugar free cheesecakes, and for my sugar-free hot chocolate . It’s hugh quality , melts well , smoooth and creamy with no grit. Will buy again .

Good quality baking chocolate. Works well in baked goods generally but would not recommend for any ganache style applications. My order was changed because of stock and I only received half my amount but was refunded the difference before I even received my order and received an e-mail as soon as the stock issue was realized. I use a lot of different fair trade chocolates and Guittard is, so far, my favourite and I highly recommend.

Look around - I found it much cheaper elsewhere after I purchased it ... the product is excellent, though!

This chocolate is THE best unsweetened I've tried. I tried MANY brands while on a keto diet via ordering online and stumbling across random brands in stores. Alas, I keep looking for that perfect unsweetened chocolate! I love unsweetened chocolate. But the key is finding the least bitter and smoothest one. This is the best. In flavor. I'm not sure price wise but I find that to not be of consequence for the taste and quality.

This item was not fulfilled as advertised!!! It is only one box not 4!! SUCH a rip off!! Do not buy!!!!

Yesterday, I discovered that using premium unsweetened chocolate for baking makes a world of difference in the end product. From the depth of flavor to the moist chewy texture of the scratch made brownies, the recipe never tasted and turned out so well than with Guittard's 100% Unsweetened Chocolate for Baking. True, the cost for this product is a bit more than your average grocery store bought brand, but if you're going to indulge, why not make it worth it.
