MSKJ 2000w 220V-110V Step Up Down Voltage Transformers Converter UK to US US to UK Power AC Black (2000W)

Bought this to run a U.S. 110V air purifier, and knowing nothing about which transformer to buy, bought this purely on reviews. Turned on at 09.30am and 32hrs later as I write this review, still running, I have been continuously monitoring for transformer heating up and it is still as cool as when first turned on. Have to say I am more than happy with the unit and to recommend.

I bought this to run an FM tuner that draws 18 watts @110-120v, 60hz. Since I have the 200 watt transformer, this is hardly overtaxing the device! It has been on for 24 hours now. It runs cool and is silent. I measured the output voltage at 115 volts, which is perfectly acceptable. It is solidly built and unlike the more powerful versions it only weighs 1.7kg, but it is probably too heavy and bulky to use as a travel converter. It comes with a UK plug and there is also a 220v outlet next to the 110v outlet on the front. I have taped over the 220v outlet in order to prevent accidentally plugging in a 110v device. I cannot fault this transformer.

Pros: Product produces a stable 110V and properly powers the 800W watt that it was purchased forCons: Gets extremely hot to point of plastic smelling smoke pouring out of vents after 1h of continuous use in a cool room. Tried several times with alternate similar power devices and same each time after 30mins/1hFrom new the mains cable is dodgy where it has to be twisted in a certain manner to make it work. Would have sent back as soon as i received it on these reasons but was out of the country for several months after receiving it.

Amazons service is faultless. But the quality of the product is cheap, the main flaw is the plug fitting it’s loose to the point where it has fallen out on a few occasions I use this for a sds drill and a American wet vacuum and find half way through its fallen out and I’ve lost power. Also the lead is short half a meter at best. For the money I expected better . I now resort to using tape to keep in it while using.

Reliable and easy to use. Solid well constructed device and comes with 2 fuses although I haven't needed to use the spares. Wonderful and works well.Seller also very helpful regarding product query. Works great! When I bought it first I got an inverter that dis not work properly. So if your fuses go crazy when using this, you should ask for a replacement. The shipper replaced my inverter plus the shipping cost and the second one I got works great, I used it over a year with espresso machine, hair dryier, hand mixer and other smaller appliances.

I plugged it in and it started to rumble violently for about 15 seconds and now doesn't turn on at all. Its completely broken and returning it ASAP.
