Review: Something everyone that does DIY products needs this. - I love using this! When you have to make holes through 2 by 4's and you do not want to go to close to the edge and possibly go through the other side. The guide ball is the best size and works easily. I cannot tell you how many times I have used this and never had an issue
Review: This is a grand piece of equipment, and I have found no equal. - So happy with my 6' 3/4" drill bit. I have used these long drill bits, off and on for abt. 30 yrs. But in the past I have only been able to find them with a very slender business end, perhaps 3/8", maybe a little more. I just "got by" with these for threading the slender wires needed for burglar alarms, telephones, etc. But those bits would often drill down and become embedded in wood and sometimes break off. I had no idea I could get a 3/4" until I began looking for something that I could get to drill a path hole large enough to accommodate the connector heads on Cat 6a ethernet cable. It was easy and the cable just dropped thru the path I made. Of course you never know what you will hit drilling blind, only by the sense of touch. But I was lucky and didn't hit a nail and this bit drilled down thru 10 inches of wood (thru a 2"x4" board lying flat against 2"x8" floor joist) all the way to a cement foundation. I went slow and when I hit cement, I knew it. Of course, I stopped and went below my porch to see where the bit was. Didn't see it, but could tell it was completely embedded in the the 2"x8" floor joist. board. I pulled the long drill bit out; and took a 3" cookie cutter to cut a shallow exploratory hole into the floor joist and exposed the hidden path of my drill bit. Once it was exposed, it was easy getting the big connector heads on Cat6 ethernet from the height of a wall switch in my house down thru my porch which gave me a path to my basement. The shaft is very strong, never wobbled. I remember the slender light duty bits I used to buy years ago would wobble, often embed, and sometimes break. And I don't think I paid any more for this 3/4" drill bit than I paid for the more slender long drill bits I have used in the past. Apparently the last one failed and had to be discarded, as I couldn't find one. I put this new 6' long drill bit up for the next time I will need to sink a Cat6 cable down thru a wall. It looks as good as new. Don't hesitate to get this for pulling Cat6 cable.

So happy with my 6' 3/4" drill bit. I have used these long drill bits, off and on for abt. 30 yrs. But in the past I have only been able to find them with a very slender business end, perhaps 3/8", maybe a little more. I just "got by" with these for threading the slender wires needed for burglar alarms, telephones, etc. But those bits would often drill down and become embedded in wood and sometimes break off. I had no idea I could get a 3/4" until I began looking for something that I could get to drill a path hole large enough to accommodate the connector heads on Cat 6a ethernet cable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but not as expected

Does a good job drilling inside of wall cavities however it is not as flexible as I thought it would be. Almost drilled through into a connecting bedroom. Lucky I caught it before going completely through. Damaged drywall when I used it on one 2X4 box opening as it does not bend at all going inside the wall.
