Stretchy fit, great for what we needed it for

I ordered this in white to cover a 4" white folding table. The fabric is a bit thicker than I was expecting which is good. You can still see slightly see through to the shape of the table (more so on our table where the folding mechanism is) but less so once you've put the table feet into the little pockets in each corners.It is much easier to put on if you have a helper, and you both stand at opposite ends of the table to pull the cloth down. I was initially concerned that it wouldn't actually fit, because when we started stretching it over, the seams (which are on the narrow ends) crept up onto the table top. You do really need to put the feet into the pockets to avoid this.The material comes down low on both sides, so it wouldn't really be practical to use at a table you wanted to sit at. However it would be ideal for covering a less attractive table - for example at craft fairs, car boot sales or anywhere else you want to display items.I tend to use our folding table at larger family gatherings, as additional table area to help spread the food platters etc. Using this stretchy tablecloth on it will make it look less like a last minute thought, and more intentionally coordinated with the main family table.I haven't tried washing it yet so can't comment on this - however when I've washed similar fabric it's been fine, so I don't foresee any issues. I will update my review in due course.At the moment I'd be happy to buy another in a different colour for variety - I'd really like one in royal blue but unfortunately none of the different blues on sale would go with the colour of my existing tablecloths. Hence it's easier to coordinate everything in white!

I put it in the washing machine and it stained my gloves, towels blue. You can color your items by machine washing them.

This tablecloth stretches, and it needs to. I fitted it to a large Gopak table. I started with both legs at one short end and it wouldn't go anywhere near the other end. Then I started stretching it and brought the seam up to tabletop level. With a bit of pulling and effort, it soon fit perfectly. Of course, I've now seen the instructions that tell you to fit it to the tabletop before trying to put any feet in the pockets. That may make it easier.There are small elastic pockets for the table legs to slot in. They're OK for Gopak tables but other brands with fatter legs may struggle.Once on, the tablecloth really improves the appearance of the table. With the fabric coming down close to the floor it does mean you can't easily sit at the table with your legs underneath so these are more for display or serving tables than for sitting around. With it stretched so tightly, you don't need to worry about creases.At the time of ordering these were priced at £12.99 which I think is a bit expensive but overall I like it.
