The ultimate must have accessory for parking mode capable Thinkware dash cams!
I bought the Cellink Neo 6 battery to power my Thinkware F800 Pro twin channel dash cam system in my car. I drive a Prius, and they have two batteries built in. One is the 201v traction battery that powers the propulsion system and the entire vehicles electrical circuits when the Prius is online and operational. The other battery is a tiny 12v unit, also squirrelled away in the back of the vehicle; it’s about the size of a motorcycle battery and apart from powering the vehicles alarm system, it’s primary purpose is to boot up the Hybrid Synergy Drive. It doesn’t turn any motors; it’s nowhere near that powerful. It would easily run down if it had to power the F800 Pro dash cam overnight. So, this Cellink Neo 6 auxiliary battery’s sole purpose is to power my 24/7 dash cam system when the vehicle is unattended - in parking mode. Of course, I had the whole video surveillance + battery system installed professionally. The Cellink Neo 6 does this with admirable aplomb, providing parking mode power for as long as 37 hours with the dash cam set to time lapse parking mode recording. I have now switched to using motion capture parking mode, and this actually saves power at night.....or if your parking location is normally a very quiet location with little movement.Anyway, this is about the Cellink Neo 6. It’s powerful enough, charges up to a full 100% during my 30 minute commute (it usually has around 50% charge left at 5.00am in the morning), and on an everyday commuting basis is never depleted. On weekends, it once ran down after running from Friday afternoon when I arrived home, till Monday morning (Timelapse mode). However, in motion detection mode, it could well last 48 hours, and hasn’t run down on me yet.I love the smartphone app that allows you to check the state of charge when the vehicle is parked, via Bluetooth connectivity. You just stand beside your car and check! I love that a 45 minute drive will fully recharge it from depleted. This is perfect for expensive automobiles (fitted with equally expensive 24/7 dash cam systems) that detect the drain on the 12v battery in the vehicle and turn off that circuit. You don’t have to rely on your vehicles battery anymore. Install this instead.Probably the best stealth upgrade on the market - transforming your car into a true 24/7 surveillance platform - powered by an up to 48 hour battery.Welcome to the 21st century!
