Moved to disposable silverware after the baby was born so that we could avoid dishes. We didn't want a bunch of microplastics in our system from traditional plastic silverware. These work great and are sturdy enough for life.

These are sturdier than normal plastic utensils. They can also be washed and used again if you don't want to compost them. Excellent product.

They do work and are compostable, and the price is great. I buy them for our office. They are NOT heavy duty. If you need to cut any food, you will need to use both a fork and a knife. Cutting anything with the side of the fork or applying too much pressure will cause these to break. I still strongly recommend over plastic, which also breaks.
