DR Strings Electric Guitar Strings, Dimebag Darrell Signature, Treated Nickel-Plated, 9-46 (DBG-9/46)

A great set of 9-46s. They bend like super slinkys. They sound like bright highs, scooped mids and boosted bass in string form. Cost- Maybe a little too expensive but I have them on a 2000 Washburn trans Dimebolt 333 so it was like basically designed for my use. If you are playing a solid state amp modeler without pedals just direct line in, not worth it. If you are running into a DAW, fine tuning your note frequencies a specific way, they are worth. Or if you want authentic, worth. I don’t personally like when strings share packs like “1 and 3, 2 and 5, 4 and 6” as I do each string by string. But it’s just annoying not necessarily “bad”. I’m more on the argument of limiting getting my finger oils on strings until I really HAVE too is my perspective. I would recommend trying them out and seeing what you think about them though. They’re good enough to try.

I was looking for 9-46 set for a 25.5" scale that had just a bit more tightness on the low and high e strings, but without having to move up in gauge sizes. These strings do hold up a bit more to hard picking. They are a bit more tense than Ernie Balls and regular DR's like Pure Blues, both of which become significantly floppier on the second day once they're broken in. The feel is extremely natural. It is a treated string, not a coated string, so there is no visible polymer coating. There is a slight reduction of friction which reduces sliding noise and reduces callusing, and callusing itself is what causes that squeak. So these are truly excellent strings and they are as Dime apocryphally described them as, the strings of strength. In some cases you might want looser strings. But I'm always looking to do as little work as possible so these allow the comfy 9-46 set.

I got these for 2 reasons, first reason was the price is excellent, second reason is because it has dime on it... little did I know how good these strings feel and play especially hitting harmonics. These are great strings

Love the strings! But there was an extra low E string and missing A string. I'm sure its from a while ago? Kind of stunk I had to use another set. Guess I'll have some spares now.

Für Down Tunings und für Freunde härter Musik ein absoluter Traum! Großartige, nicht zu überzogene Bässe und wahnsinnig klare Höhen. Grade für Studio Einsätze finde ich die Saiten Spitze, der Sound setzt sich auf jeden Fall kompromisslos durch. Wer normal auf E stimmt, sollte daran denken, das diese Saiten ziemlich "Straff" liegen und Sie vielleicht eine Nummer kleiner bestellen. Für meine Ohren eine der besten Saiten Sätze für (Vollbrett-) Gitarren!
