Mobile photography macro king, undisputed
Let me first get some things clear, because people seem to buy this on impulse and do not know that they either need: A.) The Moment case for this lens to ATTACH TO. or B.) the mounting frame, also sold on the moment website for this lens to Attach to in case you don't want the case or your phone isn't compatible with it.On to the optics: quality, this lens OOZES quality. It produces TACK SHARP pictures, it's really amazing. The only downside I see with this lens is that you have to be less than an inch (25mm or 0.984252inches to be very precise, that is where focal plane is and, that is that. once you nail the focus though, you'll be REALLY pleased with the result.Images:1. toothbrush thistles2. dandelion blooming3. hibiscus stigmas4. 3.5mm headphone jack5. an ant6. very tiny cocoplum flowers7. azalea stigmas8. spanish moss up close9. incredibly tiny insect posing with an ant, on top of the mold from pic #1710. a jumping spider caught its prey!11. juniper leaves12. jumping spider 213. a lynx spider14. my eye15. a honeybee hiding behind a white clover flower16. 3.5mm headphone jack head, i digitally zoomed in to take this one.17. mold on a brick wallhope you enjoyed this "review"

Fun To Tinker With. Quality Feel.
Really cool little item. Not something I mess with every day but its on my desk and it's super simple to attach to my iPhone 7 with the Moment case I got, too. The fit & finish of the lens are superb. I like that the translucent lens hood can be removed and it comes with a little storage bag. Nice touches. It also comes with a little lens cap. Mine pops off too easily, though. The photos I've taken so far are clear and sharp, though there is some peripheral blur as the depth of field with macro lenses is short. Might get the Moment telephoto next.

OMG! LOVE IT!
The picture quality is excellent but it's true that you have to get right on the subject, which is difficult if you're photographing insects. I love the quality and clarity of macro photos of flowers and plants. I'm a gardener and write articles so this macro lens has given a visual boost to submissions. You have to work it around to pick up the clearest shot. Not the easiest to use but what do I know? It's my first and only macro lens and I'm very much a novice yet, but I love it.

Very nice
The media could not be loaded. Maybe a little on the expensive side for its limitations. Definitely leaps and bounds ahead of the built-in macro lens on my iPhone (13 Pro) though. And absolutely better than the previous macro lens attachment I had.The focal area is a little small and you have to get pretty close to the subject. The diffuser ring is nice, but it makes getting close enough to your subject a little challenging. If it’s a very tiny subject, you’re likely better off just removing the diffuser.Additionally, this will NOT be useable without the corresponding products! You have to buy the drop-in mount, AND the phone case to be able to use it. (Though, to be honest, I was able to squeeze the drop-in mount into my very flexible, rubbery, compostable phone case. It’s not ideal, definitely stretched out the camera opening on the case weirdly, and the case sits funny on that side now, but it’s serviceable.)Idk. I found another, similarly priced brand that makes a larger macro lens, with a bigger focal area, and offers a universal clip-on mount, so I may try that one out too and compare. All in all… this is decent. (I had a really good one years ago, but this type of product in general seems to have gone a bit downhill since then. At least the affordable ones.)I would definitely recommend this as a better, mid-higher end macro attachment. It seems superior to most of the others on the market right now. So, if you can’t afford an actual camera and a $500-$1,000 macro lens, this might be for you.

Great Macro Lens
This macro lens has worked great. The image quality using it with my iPhone 11 is very good.In a number of other reviews, it seems that people may not understand what they're going to get. This is a macro lens, so the depth of focus is very narrow. That's inherent to macro lenses. You need to be very close to the subject, less than about an inch and a half from the lens itself (not counting the light diffuser if you're using it). And even then, portions of the image a fraction of an inch farther or closer to the lens start going out of focus. Macro photography enthusiasts can use software to perform focus stacking to combine multiple photos into one with a greater depth of field (more of the image is in focus at the same time), though it only works well with stationary subjects and a mounted (or otherwise stationary) camera. I personally use the iOS app CameraPixels for capturing the photos, and Affinity Photo for focus stacking them. The results are fantastic!I only have two very minor criticisms. One, the very corners of the images seem to be a little obstructed, at least at certain focus levels. Barely noticeable, and it can be removed by cropping, which also removes a little distortion sometimes barely visible at those edges as well. Cropping to a square image removes this if you're very picky like me. The other criticism is that the light diffuser does not attach very securely. It's only held on with friction along a narrow edge. I don't really use it, so also not a significant problem for me.Overall, I'm satisfied with. my purchase. It would be hard to get much better results with a phone camera.
