Where have these been all my life?
I'm kind of surprised I've never seen anything like this before. I have a relatively small freezer (with no ice maker) and it never made sense to dedicate the space for regular ice cube trays. But as soon as I saw these I figured they were worth a shot. They fit nicely in the freezer door, and I don't have to worry about keeping them flat. Each one makes roughly enough ice for a tumbler cup, so I typically refill it once I've filled my glass with ice. The ice cubes are pretty tiny, but that's fine (and then they're small enough to even fit in the narrow neck of my steel water bottle). Just make sure not to overfill it with water or the center cylinder won't stay in place right. (I usually press the center down until water stops coming out of the little vents on the top.)Probably not the best solution if you need ice for a crowd, but for one or two glasses at a time this does the trick.

Easy to use and nontoxic
I was considering buying a tabletop ice maker, then remembered I had purchased these a long time ago and never used them. The container size is a perfect fit to my Primula water bottle, so I flip the container head first into the water bottle, squeeze, and it empties perfectly into the bottom with no spillage. It takes only about 4-6 hours to freeze, and about a minute or so of hot water rinsing before the cubes release--so easy! Because it's made of silicone, it doesn't have any harmful chemical reaction with liquid like plastic. I know the label indicates "dishwasher safe", but I personally would not do that, just hand wash it. It get rid of any smell, apparently Tovolo, the manufacturer, recommends using a 1:1 ratio of white vinegar to water and letting it soak for a couple of hours, then rinse thoroughly to remove the vinegar odor.

Make little cubes with drinks instead of water! Great product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great price for an amazing product! I love the itty bitty cubes for drinks or just to munch on. I fill them with seltzer, iced tea, and even coffee and/or creamer so that my drinks aren't diluted with water as they melt. They're a bit difficult to get out; they don't just fall into the center when you squeeze it. I hold it over my cup and squeeze, roll, and slap the cubes out very quickly. These are the best!

Takes a little more effort to get the ice cubes out but great for compact spaces
These are great for tight spaces in your freezer. They are kind of a little challenging to get the top off of, versus trays where you can just pop and dump them. It does take some finessing to get off the lid and then get all of the cubes out of the container. Which shouldn’t really come as a surprise given the container.

Easiest way to make cubed ice
I’ve used the flat ones before and they’re a total pain so trying this was life changing. I have no more water spills in my freezer and releasing the ice is so easy because it just catches and dumps out of the container. Produces good volume of ice too.

Ice Cube Cylinder
O.M.G. Whoever came up with this product is a genius! My ice maker quit, and I don't always get to the store to buy more ice. I've tried various other ways to make ice 🧊. The trays are awkward and cumbersome and spill before getting to the freezer. I have now bought several of these. They are easy to use (especially for senior citizens) and they provide just the right amount of ice 🧊. I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Puts greasy particles in the water and on side of glass
The concept of these is amazing! They make perfect little cubes of ice. But when they melt, they leave behind particles in your water (or whatever you're drinking) and a greasy residue at the waterline. Husband works in manufacturing and says for something to be that soft (the material the round ice cube 'tray' is made of is very nice and soft feeling), petroleum has to be added to the material composition. Since the residue had already reminded me of vaseline, we are guessing that that is the case. So likely it is 'non-toxic' but it is very off-putting to see floaters in your beverage and know you are drinking them. I did see other reviewers reporting the same issue but thought maybe they had ran their product through the dishwasher and had soap residue, or were drinking a full-fat milk beverage, but do not think that anymore. I hand-washed ours several times as well as ran 5 rounds of ice cubes through it, testing it each time, and it always produced the same result of greasy particles and a ring around the waterline.

Good for small amounts of ice for one person
Bigger than I expected they'd be. I was hoping they'd fit in the door of my tiny freezer but they do not. So they do take up more room than I would like. I'm a household of one and I don't use ice often, so these are a good solution. I fill them up, freeze, squeeze, and put them into a freezer storage container. All together filling them up 3 times made enough ice to fill the larger container.I didn't notice any leaks. It was easy to use. Easy to fill. It was frozen in just a few hours. Releases as promised with warm water. It does leave a bit of a disc of ice at the bottom. So you will have to break that upNot sure on the value for money. Maybe it's a little pricey but the concept is unique enough and it does what I wanted (make small amounts of ice for one and easy to unmold) so I'd say I'm happy with it.
