but crunching down and getting a mouth full of fish oil doesn't seem like a good idea and I also don't know just ...
My dog recently began to knuckle her hind feet - first her right and then both feet. Her hindquarters were also becoming noticeably weaker. Took her to the vet and she said that if I wanted a correct diagnosis that my dog should undergo some tests to pinpoint the problem. Knowing how incredibly expensive these tests can be, and taking into consideration that she is a 70 lb. 12 year old with no symptoms of pain, I declined and asked if there was a secondary, less expensive choice which might work. The vet suggested large doses of fish oil as well as glucosamine/chondroitin which might help if the condition was a joint problem and not neurological. So that is what I decided to do. I am on my second bottle of Free Form Snip Tip in addition to an extra strength chewable of glucosamine, MSM, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid. And have seen no improvement.I find the Snip Tip to be messy to dispense. Cutting off the tip sometimes spurts the fish oil out of the dish, so I have learned to point the capsule down into the dish and snip carefully. Squeezing the oil out of the capsule also gets on your fingers. I am aware that the entire capsule can be consumed without cutting off the tip, but crunching down and getting a mouth full of fish oil doesn't seem like a good idea and I also don't know just how digestible the capsule and tip are even though the directions indicate it is perfectly safe to ingest. All that said, my dog really seems to like the taste. So even though it does not seem to be helping her, it is also not hurting her so I will probably continue purchasing this product (just in case).

Lifesaver
I put my French bulldog on these after she had given birth to five puppies and weaned off breast-feeding. She had started to lose a lot of her hair in patches and I was becoming desperate with what to do. Our veterinarian actually recommended fish oil to help with regrowth. Within 30 days of being on this, her hair had completely grown back and is thicker and softer than it was before she even gave birth. These are now my tried and true for her and we have kept her on it since then. We decreased the dosage and just do every other day now. She is 25lbs

My dog loves them
I open the snip tip and squeeze the liquid out of the capsule on her kibbles. She eats it right up. I use to have her swallow the capsule but now that she is older itseasier for her and me just to add it to her food in the morning.
