I have a 46 year old copy of this , now I have a new one , high quality mastering . Sounds so much better than my old worn out copy

Not only does this sound better than my 1970 original but I unexpectedly received a strictly limited edition on purple vinyl. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

A 70’s Classic
One of the best rock albums of the 70’s Child in time still sounds great

Lousy sound-terrible mix.
Just received this and played it through and am extremely disappointed with the quality of the sound and the mix.I had this album in 1970 when it was released and enjoyed it for a few months and then stopped listening to it until now. As it was so long ago I remember the sound quality seemed good and in those days I put the bass knob up full to get the drums and bass kicking hard. Now I have an excellent hifi that has no tone controls as they are not needed but on this reissue the bass and particularly the drums are buried in the mix which really ruins the overall sound of the band. The guitar and keyboards are very much to the fore and that is probably where the problem lies as they dominate too much. Nice to hear the album again after about 48 years but the mix and production is terrible.

Um dos melhores itens da discografia da banda om clássicos absolutos, a virada de gênero do grupo que até então era uma banda meio mais pop anos 70 . Ian Gillan no auge e Riger Grover que além de excelente músico também é excelente produtor.

Deep Purple In Rock is the first studio album of the classic MK 2 line up. It only helped the group gain further stardom from their earlier efforts in the late 60's. Some of the songs like Speed King, Child in Time, Into the Fire are still popular among the group's live material. However, the single Black Night is omitted from this release.
