Gorgeous screen, good performance
It's very light, and most importantly the charging brick is light enough and sleek for how much power it can supply (200w). Screen looks amazing. Speakers are ok-ish. It's powerful for productivity tasks (handles lots of tabs open, as well as vs studio and vs code at the same time). Battery life is quite bad (2-3h), but usable if in a pinch, I think you can get better results if you completely turn off the d-gpu. Very good selection of ports, and the sd card reader is very useful. Upgradeability is ok, the only issue I have with it is that only one ram slot is upgradeable. Overall, I'm very happy and suits my needs well. If you want a powerful oled laptop without spending too much, with barely any compromises, this is the one.

OLED screen is brilliant and the rest of the laptop is too
Very happy with the upgrade from a Dell XPS 15. The OLED screen is so much better than LCD and the 3K resolution is ideal - vibrant colours and sharper than 2K Full HD. I'll never go back. The rest of the laptop has surprised me how great it is for the price - it can handle anything I throw at it and plays games on high settings, such as Alyx for VR.The keyboard is good for typing and the ports are all there.ASUS have really upped their game with this laptop - the quality is so much better than the last of their laptops I tried.

Surprisingly good!
Does absolutely everything I need it to do, including gaming. I'm really surprised.Upgraded to an additional 1TB NVMe drive & an 16GB DDR5 SODIMM.The OLED screen is absolutely amazing, ΔE of 0.45. Well calibrated & beautiful visuals.Perfect for photo editing.

Terrible battery life, lots of problems initially
The battery life on this laptop is nowhere near what is claimed. I mainly use it for emails, Internet and PowerPoint presentation. It normally lasts 2 to 3 hrs absolute max but often well under 2 hours. Had lots of problems with BSOD initially, still have problems with the mouse/trackpad slowing or it not registering my external screens from my dock. Bought to upgrade my older Dell, really disappointed, would not recommend.

Broke within 3 months - Save your money!
This is the second laptop I’ve bought from amazon (had to return the last one), and also the second that has completely died on me. For this amount of money this is insane! Has been very well looked after, and when refreshing a page it froze and won’t turn back on - something really faulty with their laptops. Please save your money!I messaged support thinking they’d help me troubleshoot it or fix it, where they bluntly said I need to return it - no help at all. As I said, this is the second laptop so I’m sick of moving all my work (a lot of work is saved here) and have to pay more just to fix it. Save your money

N650MV model to replace my Dell XPS 15 (7590) OLED
My 4 year old Dell XPS 15 (model 7590, Core i7, GTX 1650, 4K OLED screen) was getting a bit slow, so was looking for a good replacement.Unfortunately, Dell doesn't do XPS 15 with OLED screens anymore, and the XPS 16 has OLED screens but only touch (adding some grainy layer on top of screen) and the models are fairly poorly rated anyway. They are also probably twice the price as the ASUS.Time to look for another brand!I bought the Asus Vivobook Pro as it ticks many boxes:Findings so far (in comparison with the XPS 15):* 15.6" non-touch OLED screen, which is very nice and bright. It has a slightly lower resolution than the Dell XPS (which was 4K) but I can't really tell the difference* Proper graphic card so that I can play recent games including VR games (RTX 4060, with a TGP of 115 watts). For reference, a Dell XPS 16 can have a RTX 4070, but massively throttled at only 60 watts, so probably much slower in actual use* Build quality is not as good as an XPS, but not bad. Laptop has got more flex/feels less sturdy, despite having a metal lid and bottom panel. Other parts are plastic, where the XPS had carbon fibre and was more premium. The ASUS will probably won't look as good as the XPS after 4 years* Performance is very good (Intel Ultra 9 CPU). Rendering of video in DaVinci Resolve is at least 3 times quicker. Plenty of settings available via the ASUS app* 1TB SSD, there is another slot for a second one* Ram: 2 x 8GB, but only one SO DIMM slot is available (other 8GB is soldered), so I replaced the 8GB memory there with 16GB, making a total of 24GB. Some people have indicated that higher capacities can create issues (e.g. heat).Replacement was easy to do. Computer screen went black for 10 min after the upgrade, but eventually rebooted fine* Trackpad is good, multitouch works fine (e.g. scrolling) but there is a embossed wheel at the top left that I will never use and taking a bit of space* Main issue is the keyboard layout, with a tiny SHIFT left key, and a tiny ENTER/RETURN key, which I don't seem to be able to press without looking at it. What were they thinking?? Surely they know that the RETURN key is used very frequently on a computer? The keyboard has a dedicated number pad, so I guess they had to make space for it, but this is probably the worst keyboard layout I have seen. I guess I will eventually get used to it. The keys and typing is actually pleasant. Several levels of backlighting, which seems very uniform* No fingerprint reader, but infrared camera works well with Windows Hello. Drawback is that when privacy shutter is on, can't log anymore using face, so have to type a pin* The power supply is fairly large and rated at 200w, but actually not that much bigger than the XPS 15 one. Computer can also charge with USB C* Plenty of ports, including USB, USB C, HDMI, ethernet, SD card reader etc. The new Dell XPS 16 have only a few USB C ports, so much worse than the XPS 15* Battery life is quite good, when laptop is in the right mode. Watching video or browsing the web, while the GPU is off/disable, I seem to get 4 or 5 hours. It's also possible to limit charging to 80% to extend the battery life* Webcam is much higher definition, and has a physical privacy shutter tooOverall, a great laptop, with amazing screen and great performance for the price. Excellent value for money. A Dell XPS may have a better build quality/materials, but that's about it.
