The keyboard connected via Bluetooth without issue. Easy set up, works fine. Only drawbacks are that it feels cheap, which is to be expected at this price point. You have to remember to turn the keyboard off, it has its own power supply and does not turn off when closing the lid of the computer. The mouse pad is the biggest negativ, feeling cheap and clunky. Not as premium feeling as the original keyboard. Overall, it does what it needs to and is inexpensive and I do recommend it.

Bought as a replacement for my surface pro 4. Yes it still works just needed a new keyboard. The replacement is sturdy and connects with out an issue. I actually like it better since it doesn’t drain the computers battery. Good value replacement

Delivered January 5, 2025. Delete key quit working on February 14, 2025, after return date passed. How ridiculous. Very inconvenient. It’s not plug and play like original Microsoft keyboard. You have to charge it, and it has a power button. Keyboard often gets stuck, so I toggle the power button off and on to get it to work again. Total waste of money! UPDATE: Been using backspace key to make up for delete key not working, but whole keyboard just died August 17, 2025. So delete key died a month after purchase, and the whole keyboard died less than 8 months after purchase! THIS PRODUCT IS GARBAGE!

It's an ok keyboard. Since it connects w bluethooth, your surface will get stuck on tablet mode. The keyboard works great but the mousepad has a lot of missinputs. Great battery life, great Bluetooth connection. all around a solid 3/5.

Does what it needs to do. My only complaint is the light turns off way too fast.

Overall not bad so far. Keys are kind of loud and I wish the backlight was brighter. Battery seems to last about two, three days of heavy usage.

Battery life is not as long as I'd expect. Also is battery loses. Charge features fail, but otherwise, it is a great board in terms of quality. Buddy, I don't feel like this is as flimsy as some of the actual Microsoft ones and the Bluetooth contact is good as long as the battery is all the way charged.

I admit that this keyboard is not exactly what I expected it would be. It's still a good keyboard, but it's not a complete replacement for the full surface keyboard. Let me start out with the good points. This keyboard is actually awesome. I like the key action better than the MS one. The touch pad works really well. It's very responsive and the multi finger gestures also work. The keyboard connects to the Surface Pro with very strong magnets… lot stronger than the MS version. And yes, as advertised you can change the backlight between white and five other colors. I have to admit that I've already grown very fond of the dark blue one. It's very nice for when you're sitting in the dark. Here is the problem. This keyboard does not attach to the Surface Pro the way the MS one does. The keyboard itself has its own charging port and on/off switch. That's because this keyboard is entirely Bluetooth. It does not get its power from the Surface Pro at all. This creates a few extra negatives. First off, closing the keyboard against the computer effectively does nothing to the computer. As far as I can tell the Surface Pro just stays on all the time when this keyboard is attached. It doesn't know that it's “closed.” Strangely, the keyboard itself *does* know that it is closed, so it goes into a sort of sleep mode. You just have to remember to hit the button on your surface, you could run out of juice. That’s why I say it might not be “primary” but still a good backup, depending on how you use it. On the plus side, this is a standard Bluetooth keyboard that can be used with any Bluetooth active device. You can even attach it to an Amazon fire stick. It also means that you can leave the computer on the table and just hold the keyboard in your lap. So, that turns out to be quite a positive under certain situations. I was pretty excited when I realized I could attach my Surface Pro to the TV and just have the keyboard sitting in my lap in my easy chair. It's very cool actually. So, this is not an exact replacement for the MS version. On the other hand, this keyboard has some positives but still gives me the desire to give it five stars. As long as you know what you’re getting, you won’t be disappointed.

Keyboard is fine the track pad is quite bad its very laggy and ive had issue with it always zooming in and out of things when using normally Also keep in mind as its a 3rd party keyboard the laptop still thinks its in tablet mode Edit: the track pad no longer works

A very good alternative to the original microsoft surface keyboard. Built is good and feels premium, battery life is also long. I don't think I would still buy the original keyboard.

I purchased this keyboard as a replacement for the original Surface Pro 7+ keyboard, which I had been using for almost three years. Unfortunately, the official Microsoft version was unavailable on e-commerce sites and through resellers. Initially, I tried to save some money by ordering a cheaper option worth Rs. 3K or so on Amazon. However, the seller was not prompt in delivering, and Amazon ended up cancelling the order. In hindsight, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as my second order—this keyboard—has proven to be an excellent choice. The keyboard is superb, with no noticeable difference in performance compared to the original. It connects instantly via Bluetooth as soon as I power on the Surface, with no typing lag whatsoever. It can be magnetically attached for seamless use, or I can keep the tablet and keyboard separate if needed. It has been five days since my purchase, and I have yet to recharge the battery. The design and build quality are excellent, with precise cuts and a customizable backlight. The only minor drawback is that the lettering on the keys isn't as bright as on the original, but it's still manageable. I’m hopeful that this keyboard will last for another three years or so. The seller on Amazon was very prompt and attentive. Even though I had to wait nearly 20 days for the delivery, they kept me updated periodically through emails till the day it reached me, which I truly appreciate.
